The property was very clean, staff was very friendly.

They should provide at least two keys. When traveling for couple as well to escort to the stateroom. The hotel has an amazing location.

My stay at Whala was pleasant. The location was perfect for me as my primary reason for this trip involved the hospital around the corner in walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was decent ,the only complain I have was the cleanliness of my room which could be improved. Overall, I would return.

When I read the reviews for this place I expected a great stay, but this place was completely below my expectations. The staff was nice, but the property itself is in a construction area, hot with no elevators, the water was warm at best, and totally outdated. The first room they brought us to was not clean, and the next room was still slightly dirty with tons or flys, moths, and mosquitoes everywhere. If you’re looking for a cheap and easy place to stay this is the place for you, but don’t expect much. No transportation was provided so expect to spend for that too.

Did not get enough towels and were slow to replenish them they were very stingy with how many towels they gave us. The bed frames had mold spots as well all over the shower tile and bathroom wall tiles. Did not feel Or look clean. Not to mention already mosquitoes in the room, the curtains had some questionable stains, Gross. And the perimeter of the property had barbed wire surrounding it I didn’t feel Safe.

The staff here at the hotel was so friendly and accommodating. I had a great time and I definitely would go back. The rooms and the grounds were clean. The hotel was very beautiful too. I definitely recommend it. The beach was about a 8 minute drive from the hotel so that was super convenient.
