Attractive pricing. Pleasant, helpful staff. Small, clean room. Good wifi. Love the double shades: One for letting in light, but blocking sun; the other to block light. Aesthetically-pleasing shower space, but the fixed positions of the showerhead (with some wayward water streams) and the glass partition result in water spillage over onto the bathroom floor. The closet door is unnecessary and gets in the way of activities in the area. No fridge; no microwave. There is a coffee maker. I can work around the absence of an in-room microwave, but the lack of a fridge is a real disappointment. (There is a microwave in the breakfast space on the ground floor, along with a filtered-water dispenser that provides not only hot and cold water, but even ice cubes.) Self-serve buffet breakfast is in a light and airy space, offering fresh-cut and whole fruits, dry cereals, and yogurt. Protein and bread choices are reminiscent of institutional cafeteria fare, but this should not be surprising in a budget motel. The motel is within walking distance of a very nice La Comer grocery store. For a one-night stay, I'd be happy to return to this motel, but for a longer stay, the lack of a fridge would have me looking for an alternative.
