Information on website are not accurate. We booked a 3bedroom cottage, but had to pay for a bedroom per person even though my husband & I shared a room we had to pay for 2 rooms. When my mum came to stay we had to pay for a third room- could only access 2 rooms, no keys to one. So we had No access to the patio area. On the website it stated exclusive use of the whole cottage. This is not true. At no point after we booked did staff inform us that you had to book and pay for a room per person separately. Poorly equipped. Only coffee mugs & kettle. No water glasses, no wine glasses - it is a wine estate? Could not give my elderly mum a glass of water to take her medication. No plates, no knives, forks or spoons. No iron & ironingboard. The toaster and Knives & Forkes, desert spoons in our cottages were removed & staff refused to return it. We had No hot water for 2 days. Towels were threadbare and some had holes in it. No soap were provided..Only received toiletries once for 2 people. Third person received nothing. One evening we arrived back at 10pm to find the front door standing wide open. There were no forced entry and nothing was missing so the housekeeping staff forgot to close & lock the front door as we had left before housekeeping arrived. The restaurant staff were fantastic, Very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They really made extra effort to make my mum feel special every morning during our stay. The breakfast was delicious.

After a 1 week stay in Cape Town we were looking for a place to stay for two nights close to the airport. We required a stay with airport transportation, a pool or other leisure activities and dining as we would not have a car. The Zevenwacht more than delivered. Located in Stellenbosch region it would also be great starting point for day trips in the area. Our unit was on the hill overlooking the estate with a spectacular view, particularly in the evening when we would sit on our patio looking over the vineyards at the lights below and the mountains in the distance. They have a nice pool that we were able to lounge at while not walking around the estate. It is an operating winery so we enjoyed a complimentary wine tasting and tour. The restaurant serves breakfast (included) lunch and dinner and every one of the meals we had were excellent and very well priced. The patio of the restaurant looks over the gardens and pond - the perfect place to enjoy a charcuterie plate and glass of wine. The staff, both in the Inn and restaurant were attentive and anticipated our every need. There is also a spa on sight which we were not able to enjoy due to time constraints. Would highly recommend Zevenwacht Winery Estate for a short or extended stay.

So everything correct, OK, cottages have seen decades without renovation and are actually very clean but pretty old-fashioned and run-down. restaurant is very average and not flexible at all (we will serve you lemon for the water but we will not squeeze it,"we don't do that"). premises are nice

Great short stay. Beautiful area and great views from the room. Good food in the restaurant and great tome at the wine tasting.
