Really nice hotel! Very welcoming staff too.

Superb all round

The hotel was cozy, super nice and in a quiet location. The staff was amazing! They can help arrange day trips and transportation. The breakfast was great and our room (#1) has all the amenities that we needed. The location is 30+ min to Old Town Kotor but not a problem is you have a car. Taxi is easy but a little pricey. Definitely recommend this hotel if you don't need to go to Kotor often or have your own ca.

El capitano was amazing! Everything from the basic amenities to how helpful and kind the staff were, I can’t fault the place at all! We will be coming back!

I had a very pleasant stay here. You can tell it’s family run as they were all very friendly and hospitable. The standard room I had was spacious and overlooked the ferry - but the triple glazing and thick walls meant I couldn’t hear anything . The a/c worked well. The mini bar was well stocked and there is a cosy courtyard with plunge pool that was great for evening drinks While I would say this is a perfect location for exploring with a car, this isn’t the right choice if your prime need is sea swimming and easily walkable bars and restaurants - though there are two high end restaurants a short walk away that have a beach club The little car park is about 200m past the hotel - sharp left into a little lane and it’s a small field. I found it hard to find so don’t miss it!

What a lovely boutique hotel with history. Extremely personable staff and the owner’s sister was so kind and genuine. They prepared our room with a lovely bouquet of flowers, wine, and delicious desert for our honeymoon. Such a pleasant stay! The room was amazing and very spacious. Would definitely stay again! I wish I could give the staff Alex and Tea (?) ten stars. This cozy, immaculately clean and yet historical boutique hotel is one of our favourite stops yet. It is directly across from the ferry operations but somehow extremely quiet, the small pool had my son entertained for hours, the staff will provide poolside service with drinks, the homemade cookies on arrival are *delightful*, the breakfast is so so good i wouid dare say skip some traditional Montenegrin food at restaurants bc this hotel has the cheese, prosciutto, pate, Ajvar… PLUS they offer a (free!) a La carte. I could go on and on about this hotel and the main reason is the people working there. They are outstanding: helping carry your luggage, reaching out ahead of time to see your plans, giving explicit parking instructions (so important in the Balkans). They have thought of everything. I cannot think of one area where improvement is needed. There are terrific dining options less than a 4 min walk down the road (and there are sidewalks!) *Notable: parking is <2 min walk from hotel, and 80% of that includes no sidewalks and blind corners. So while you are walking on the road, drivers are good. Me and my son (11) felt safe.

Best breakfast I’ve ever had

Great property. Fantastic customer service. Staff was wonderful and room was beautiful and well maintained. Excellent food. Very good linens, mattress and pillows (I’m a bit picky in this way). Hostess was amazing also. Very friendly and warm. Overall a very, very good stay. This property will become very popular over the years. It was completely booked when I was there which was at the end of the season. One thing to note is that the property is not super visible from the main road so keep an eye out for the two smaller signs that list Hotel Capintano on them.

The service is amazing, a outstanding customer service, the staff members go above and beyond. Excellent recommendations. Alejandro was the best of all! We enjoyed our stay and if we’re back in Kamenari, we’d definitely stay there again.

Everything was exelent,without any complains..

Lovely little place. Staff very helpful. Superb breakfasts that effectively saved lunch. We stayed for dinner twice and really enjoyed it. We were also very happy they provided an earlier breakfast and lunch they were under no obligation to do when we went to Dubrovnik. You ideally need a car but at least away from the traffic around Kotor.

Phenomenal hotel, wonderful architecture, good restaurant, lovely atmosphere. Clean, generally very good at communication. As others have noted, parking is a bit of a walk on a narrow road, but that's standard for this area. Had a minor issue with receiving room service (room was entered, bed was made) when we explicitly asked not to and had the do not disturb sign on the door, otherwise would be 5 stars. Very close to the ferry allowing easy access to Kotor and elsewhere.

The staff is wonderful and the hotel is beautiful and is well located if you plan to move around the montenegro bays

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool was a great bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately, I was only able to stay one night at this lovely hotel, but I still want to emphasize that everything was absolutely perfect, especially the service provided by the staff—they were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was also delicious.
