I stayed here for a few days while visiting Petra. The staff are amazing, super friendly and helpful, even offering me a tour of the various view points. My room was fine and the bed is comfortable. There is a convenience store close by and a few restaurants. Breakfast is fantastic and includes eggs. The walk to the hotel from the entrance at Petra is 15 minutes and all uphill.

Super location and service at Petra Aretas Hotel! This hotel is just up a steep hill from Petra. Very convenient location and reasonable price. Disclosure: due to the situation in the middle East, we were the ONLY guests in the whole hotel. But even so, the front staff were always friendly and helpful! The usual included buffet breakfast was not offered due to us being the only 3 guests in the hotel but instead the staff prepared us personal breakfast, and very generous portions! Olives, breads, eggs cooked to order. Amazing! Our night clerk even shared his shisha (hooka) with us. Amazing hospitality! We cannot say enough about this fabulous hotel and service. The only downside is the surrounding area since Wadi Musa is rather poor and run down (the view from our room looked like a demolition site, full of trash and rubble). But that is not any slight on the hotel. We rate this a full 5 stars rating and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The room was ok, but clean. The service was excellent. Whatever you need they will try to help. Over all I was happy with the stay. Will most likely stay there again if I’m in the area.

The property is centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and attractions. The hotel was easy to find and the parking was good. The rooms are a little dated, but a good size, very clean and comfortable. I would like to give a huge shout out to Zain. When we arrived, Zain was very kind, accommodating and gave us recommendations on the best way to see Petra with the limited time we had in the area. Had it not been for Zain, we would not have seen everything we wanted to see and our trip would have been a bit disappointing. Thankfully we listened to Zain's recommendations and got everything we wanted and more from our time in Petra. Zain also made the best American style coffee I have ever had. Zain is a huge asset to the hotel and if you are checking in and have the pleasure of meeting Zain, please pass along a "hello" from us.

Excellent value for money; very close to Petra main entrance. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel breakfast was terrific. Other meals were quite reasonable in a location where everything for tourists is pricey because that is the only local business. Room was clean, comfortable and fully functional. Anything we needed, they provided. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

While this may be a two star hotel, the level of service is beyond 5 star. The staff at this small hotel are absolutely amazing! They provided very helpful info and went above and beyond to make sure mother and I were comfortable. After a full day at Petra, they saw how tired and sore we were so they made us a hot oil with herbs to rub on our legs and back. They offer laundry and an on-site dinner. They were accommodating to our dietary needs. Rooms are simple but function for what you need - comfortable bed and good shower. Also very clean! I cannot say enough good things about the people who run this hotel!!!

Great location, only 7min walk to petra entrance (although up a hill) and parking available too. Room was fine, bathroom a little small but absolutely fine for us for one night. The only thing I will say is reception caused a lot of unnecessary stress and confusion for no reason by giving us incorrect information. First of all they told us we couldn't do the treasury and monastery in one day, that it'd take 12hrs and it was impossible, and kept trying to convince us to go in through the back entrance and paying for a taxi/driver. Fortunately, we stuck with our well-researched plan and we were able to do it all at a steady pace in 8hrs. It's a lot of walking and steps don't get me wrong but we are young and able - this just caused a lot of worry and last-minute researching when we could have been enjoying ourselves in wadi musa. They also told us it didn't open until 6:30AM when everywhere else said 6AM, again we chose not to listen and were glad we didn't as it meant we were one of the first through the doors at opening. It just felt like they were trying to get us to stay (and pay) for breakfast telling us no shops would be open to pick up food at that time, which again wasn't true, there was a 24hr store 2mins from the entrance where we picked up snacks to last us the day.

Everything about the hotel is great specially the staff. Parking was plenty. Breakfast was ok (keep expectations very low as this is a 2 star property). There's only 1 improvement arrea and that's the toilet which needs massive improvement: 1. Towels are worn out. Need to buy towels every few months 2. Toliet needs new grouting and better cleaning in shower area Last tip, Petra is a tourist spot so expect less value for money specially when it comes to accommodations

Front desk clerk was amazing! She gave us some tips for hiking Petra from the backside to the front which worked great! Having hiked Petra before from the front this allowed us to see another side and saved us on time. The hotel was simple and clean with great staff! Will stay here anytime we come to the area!

I had read the reviews and had to laugh when I saw the grey towels. No safe in room, phone didn’t work, sheets were scratchy and the room was dated in style. We loved the people that work there especially Zain who was always willing to help us and give suggestions when asked. The breakfast was slim pickings and the water in the shower was cold. We were told they never run out of hot water but they did the two days we were there. Water is solar heated so when it gets dark it stay cool until the sun is up!
