A unique space as it is historic but with updated amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. Because it is an old building, there were some interesting surprises but nothing that impacted the quality of our stay. It is right smack dab in the middle of the royal mile

Property was very well located, with all necessary amenities in place. Barring the two cigarette buds immediately inside the apartment, it was very clean throughout. The hot water and general water pressure was perfect on day 1, but not so much on day 2. There was a weird “pump”-like noise throughout the stay, but it did not adversely affect the general peace or sleep. The heating unit was easy to handle. The flat was well lit, and definitely a special feeling to be overlooking the royal mile. The problems identified is probably typical for older properties.

The location was perfect! The apartment was lovely and clean. The photos to access the front door could have been a bit more detailed (maybe an arrow to point you in the right direction). The only negative- the shower drain was clogged and we had to keep shutting the water off after thirty seconds to prevent flooding the bathroom floor.

Great City, so much to do,

Worst bed we’ve ever slept in. It was like a bag of creaky, rusty springs. The property owners should replace it before they expect one more guest to sleep on it. There is no washer/dryer although it’s listed in the description. There is not much room for your things, no place to hang wet towels, no mirror close to an outlet for hair drying. These minor things could be overlooked if you had an acceptable bed to sleep in. The location is perfect and that is its saving grace. But I would not stay here again.
