Outstanding Facilities

Warm welcome by staff, quick checkin with all information required clearly advised. Room preheated and spacious, leading to a good nights sleep. Good selection of teas for a cuppa and the next morning a good continental breakfast to start the day.

From the four hotels we stayed during our short trip to NZ, this provided us by far with the best experience. Proximity to the Mt Hutt ski area was key, but the best part was the attention and assistance provided numerous times for different reasons - nothing was too much trouble. The food from the restaurant was also superb - delicious, generous, and well presented. Staff was always smiling, pleasant, and ready to assist wherever possible - so helpful especially when travelling with children. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Methven Resort if you are in the area. We will definitely be back.

I was looking forward to a girls weekend away. Unfortunately the accommodation was a total let down. Out dated. The water out of the water cooler tasted like mold. I was told my room would be ready by 1.00 but it wasn't i wasnt so bothered. But the second lady i talked to had a sarcastic attitude un helpful manner. ( really makes a difference if you a greeted with a joyful reception) Cleaning staff were fantastic and more helpful than the front desk. Tv was minimal. Didn't bother with the free breakfast could leave fast enough to be fair. Probably wont come back.

Just a bit shabby for the money. Few power outlets in the cramped room. One didn’t work. Tea and coffee sachets did not get re stocked. I just got the feeling nobody cares. I felt sorry for them as I left. It was pricey too. I found a better option nearby.
