This is more of a guest house than a lodge. Accommodations are basic, which is why the label of "lodge" is perhaps a little misleading. Like many things in Zimbabwe, this place has several things that are broken, which didn't make it an awful stay, but when added up, they detract from the overall quality of the establishment. For example, the door on the shower stall did not shut all the way, and we had to ask for more bath towels for our family. Breakfast was included, but it's provided in a strange way. The breakfast includes cold and hot courses (plus drinks, like coffee and the Zimbabwe version of fruit juice). Your egg order will be taken when you arrive in the breakfast area and serve yourself with cold breakfast items (cereal, yogurt, etc.), but they won't tell you that the hot course will automatically come with all the other parts of a full English breakfast. It's cooked to order for each guest, and if you don't want all of those servings of beans, sausage, bacon, etc., you'll feel like you're wasting food.

The property has a relaxed, rustic feel to it which is appealing. The staff were all excellent, especially Mabel. The breakfast was also good, the family room a reasonable size fror 3 adults, but the bathroom was a bit small and the door wouldn't shut. The Lodge's restaurant was not functioning when we were there which could have been a problem; however, there is an excellent restaurant about 200metres away and an adjacent convenience store. Overall, a very pleasnt 5 nights.

It was a welcome surprise to discover Mopani Lodge. We are full-time travelers who last-minutely reserved this lodging to see the falls. We had no idea what to anticipate, but I could tell they were top-notch from our first email exchange. When I originally inquired about getting from the airport to the resort, we quickly received an answer. The quick response time is really uncommon. We had excellent customer service from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. When visiting Victoria Falls, Tadiwa was the best at selecting attractions and restaurants. He even provided us with rides to the bank, to a resturant, and the bus station. He even helped us with purchasing tickets to our next destination. He truly values his visitors and goes over and above to make sure they have a memorable time while visiting the Victoria Falls. The entire time, there was a clear emphasis on providing excellent customer service. We spent the majority of our time at the lodge due to our busy schedules at work and mainly because the service was so excellent. At the lodge, we ate breakfast and dinner. The chefs made sure to inquire about any dietary constraints we might have. The meals were delicious. Throughout our entire visit, everyone at Mopani Lodge made us feel completely at home and at ease. They really do value their guests. The lodge is neat and tidy. The pool there is cleaned every day. Moreover, they provide laundry services. They have all of your needs met and more! Booking a

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge our host went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. The staff was very helpful and attentive, no matter the requests we were always met with smiles. They also recently renovated their rooms and they looked beautiful. It is ideally located as it is nestled amongst other popular lodges and is close to town. We felt safe throughout our stay. They have a nice and well looked after swimming pool, I managed a few dips but the weather was too cold when i visited for me to fully enjoy it :') I will definitely stay with them again and I highly recommend them.

The room was clean enough but there .was no deep bath or fridge, as described, in our room. I did not see any fitness centre either. The restaurant room was dismal and the breakfast was basic and without choice. We were there for 3 days and in the evening we had to go and search out someone to come and make us some dinner. An omlette seemed to be the limit of their culinary skills. However, the most important issue was the lack of communication. Firstly, before we left for Zimbabwe, I enquired about their airport shuttle service but got no reply. On arrival, we made our own way to the hotel only to be told that they had sent somebody to collect us. The worst thing was they booked us a taxi for 6am to take us to another hotel where we were joining a 4 week safari across East Africa. It didn't come and it was only due to the kindness and luck that some builders arrived at the lodge and gave us a lift in their truck. Otherwise, we would have missed our trip!!

Mopani Lodge is ok as a place to stay. Reasonable comfort and some good facilities, e.g. a swimming pool. It is located about 4 km from the centre of Vic Falls which means it is peaceful but not walkable for restaurants etc. However, staff are helpful with transport when needed. Breakfast is basic. For us, by far its biggest plus point is that it seems to be part of Falcon Safaris, with whom we had booked a number of activities. As part of the same company, all the practicalities worked like a dream, from airport shuttle service, to guided tours of the falls, sunset river cruise, and Chobe national park. This was what really made our trip the huge success it was, and being based at Mopani Lodge was a winner. This was a special trip for us to celebrate our golden wedding, and it more than met our expectations.

Arrived at the lodge and copy of reservation was given to the staff. The staff was a bit puzzled of our arrival and made a couple of phone calls. It turns out that they were all booked, but the rooms in the bottom floor were unoccupied with the doors open. A lady arrived and said that we're being moved to the lodges sister company, guest house. It was inconvenient because we has to change all of our shuttle pick up for our activities in Victoria Falls. Careful booking Mopani Lodge.

No air conditioning, no screens, holes in the mosquito netting and only for one bed. This is one star at best. My wife had dozens of mosquito bites in the morning. I can't imagine how this place got a 3-star rating.

Mopani Lodge is about a 20-minute walk from the centre of Victoria Falls. We were met promptly at reception and shown to our room, which was on the second floor. It had a fan, and mosquito nets, which was good as the windows didn't have screens. The wifi was a little slow, but worked. The breakfast in the morning was more than I expected - bacon, eggs, toast and baked beans.

The three of us arrived this hotel and to our surprise we found an absolutely unexpected from Hotels.com to recommend such accommodation to anyone. So, two of us immediately found a room in one of the hotels in Victoria Falls. We could not find another room for the third person who had to stay in this hotel. We had to pay extra. We will submit our expenses and request, as one of your long time customers, to refund our payments. There is no A/C, balcony door did not close allowing mosquitos indoor, towels and bed sheets were not replaced on daily basis, stairs are safety hazard, dirty kitchen... Your cooperation will be appreciated! D. Aqiqi

Staff Eddie, Douglas and the always present Terrence made our short stay amazing. Family room very convenient. Arriving to Vic Falls with no tours pre-booked, in half an hour every thing was booked, with the special help of Terrence, quicker than in any travel agency with recommendations to the best ones during our short 3 days stay. Located in Victoria Falls residential area, 2km away from city center. A shuttle is always available to move you by a small fee.
