Excellent location, remember to book your parking space. Room decor was very tired. Soundproofing almost non existent, and with a function happening somewhere close, and late returning noisy guests, sleep was elusive. Heaters wouldn’t turn off and room was far too hot for us. Fortunately windows opened. Lots of hot water. Bed was a bit soft for us. Didn’t have breakfast but close to town where cafes are plentiful. Staff pleasant enough. Lifts very small.

Lovely room, great staff, amenities excellent. Very lively in the hotel during the stay. Buffet breakfast is very good. One comment- the plates are now very small. A side plate rather than a meal plate. Also the bathroom doesn't have a loo brush. I asked the staff for one and they provided a brush but said it is a management decision to exclude them-- Strange.

Great stay, room was clean and tidy. Bar area has been renovated and transformed into a busy vibrant area for socialising which has become extremely popular with hotel residents and locals.

Nice room, great location, bar is amazing

Everything was great apart from noise transference from other rooms and the corridor outside. Considering the hotel had been renovated recently I would have thought that some soundproofing improvements would have been made. I could literally hear the people in the room next door talking normally and people talking to each other in the corridor when walking past.

We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms and we were very impressed. It was decorated to a high standard, very clean, super comfy bed and the little extras like the dressing gowns in the wardrobe just added to the luxury feel. We enjoyed it so much we are planning to visit again later in the year.

Stayed in a newly furnished family room which was perfect for our family. Breakfast was excellent and far better than much pricier hotels. Staff were helpful and happy , really couldn’t ask for more. The perfect stay.

The room was awesome, clean but a bit warm. The staff all were professional and very helpful, always with a great sense of humour.

The room was spotless and well decorated. It was spacious with lots of storage. The bed was large comfortable and linen was changed everyday. The hotel is beautiful with a restaurant, bar, coffee bar and veranda all decorated in a victorian theme. The view across the harbour to the Abbey is breathtaking. The staff are attentive and accomodating, very polite and well presented. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and i would highly recommend that people stay here.
