I recently stayed at Ramada Encore by Wyndham Chinatown Kuala Lumpur, and overall, I had a good experience. One of the hotel's biggest strengths is its location. Situated in the heart of Chinatown, it is surrounded by convenience stores such as 7-Eleven, numerous restaurants, shopping areas, and local businesses. Whether you are looking for Chinese cuisine, halal food, or other dining options, you will find plenty of choices within walking distance. The area is also lively at night, with restaurants, cafés, and entertainment venues remaining open late, making it a convenient place for travelers who enjoy exploring the city after dark. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and affordable. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, and the room was well-maintained and provided everything I needed for a comfortable visit. My main concern is accessibility and traffic around the hotel. Due to its location next to a Hindu temple and along a relatively narrow and busy street, the area is often congested, especially during the day and evening. There is no dedicated drop-off or parking area directly in front of the hotel lobby, so taxis and ride-hailing vehicles typically have to stop briefly on the roadside. In many cases, drivers will ask passengers to get in or out quickly to avoid blocking traffic. In addition, the road leading to the hotel is slightly sloped, and guests often need to walk a short distance from the roadside to reach the entrance. When requesting a taxi or ride-sharing service, it is usually more practical to wait outside on the street rather than inside the hotel, as vehicles cannot remain stopped for long without causing congestion. This may not be a major issue for most travelers, but it is something worth considering if you are traveling with elderly family members, young children, large amounts of luggage, or anyone with mobility challenges. Overall, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Chinatown Kuala Lumpur offers good value for money, clean rooms, friendly service, and an excellent location for exploring Chinatown. However, if easy vehicle access and a convenient drop-off area are important to you, the traffic situation around the hotel is something you should take into account before booking.
