Absolutely wonderful! Hands down the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Halifax so far.

Amazing rooms! Beds are super comfy and no noises at all in the bedrooms

Spacious room, nice big bed and bathroom is lovely with no funny smells and drains well. I liked that there was a sofa with a table in the room so that you didn’t end up hanging around on the bed all the time and had a space for breakfast. There is a kettle and coffee machine in the room, and the food drawers are stocked with tea, coffee pods, crisps, and chocolate; and the mini bar had alcohol and soft drinks too. I liked that the curtains have automated controls by the bedside. All staff were very helpful, especially the cleaners and front desk staff. They provide water for your room at the hotel and it’s so refreshing. Remember to use your DND sign if you don’t want to be bothered - they do pay a lot of attention as a 5* so sometimes it risks becoming bothersome when you’ve just landed and need some rest, and have people knocking for turn down service or to check all is okay etc, but once we started using that sign it was the perfect amount of interaction/privacy.

Clean room, great staff, nice ammenities

This was my wife and my third time staying at the Muir, and it continues to be one of our favorite places to stay in Halifax. The rooms, as always, are top notch. They are elegant, beautifully appointed, and thoughtfully designed. The finishes, textures, and overall atmosphere strike that perfect balance between modern luxury and warm maritime character. Every stay has felt refined and intentional. This was the first time, however, that our experience was not entirely seamless. The pool and sauna area was extremely overcrowded during our visit. Towels were left strewn across chairs and along the pool deck, and it did not seem like the space was being maintained at the standard we have come to expect from the Muir. The atmosphere felt more chaotic than relaxing. There were also a few groups who were quite loud and disruptive, which changed the tone of what is normally a calm and elevated experience. It felt out of step with the usual ambiance of the hotel. That said, we still genuinely appreciate the property, the quality of the rooms, and the overall experience it typically delivers. This visit felt more like an exception than the norm, and we would certainly consider staying again, hoping to return to the polished and tranquil standard we have experienced in the past.

Outstanding experience! The amenities were wonderful. The hotel is very clean. The room is well appointed but above all, the professionalism of the staff was incredible. Stay here to relax, for the gym and the walkability of the waterfront (restaurants and shops)

Housekeeping and front staff are incredible!!! Kitchen makes great food and the hot tub was spacious, however there needs to be more hours for kids or more understanding from adults that this is a family friendly hotel

I was very disappointed as the Muir Hotel on arrival informed me that they would not give me Marriott points for my 3 night stay as I had made the booking through Expedia. Had I known this, I would have booked directly with the Muir Hotel in Halifax and not have used Expedia

Great location/ great new hotel & Premium service

Staff were so friendly and greeted us with a warm welcome. Plus went out of the way to provide a surprise in our room for our anniversary! Already looking to rebook! The gentleman at the pool desk was also amazing! Staff really stood out!
