It’s a good location, in the middle of Old Montreal. Few minutes walk from Notre dame Basilica and the port. Place was clean and safe but it’s noisy, you can hear noises from the adjacent rooms. They provide ear plugs tho.

The Sonder property I stayed at in Montreal was in a good location for walking to the Jazz Festival venues, to walk to the walking tour, to walk to the docks, to walk to the Hop on Hop off bus tour, and to walk to a number of restaurants. It was clean, and the bed was really comfortable. The only thing I would add, I was wishing there was a light over the vanity mirror.

Beware the chatbot! Unfortunately the Sonder hotel chain is no longer the cute little boutique hotels that one is led to believe when one books a room through hotels.com. I knew there was no one on site for checkin which I accepted reluctantly, but I would later come to find out that there was no human being on site ever and no way to reach a human being in case of emergency. The first sign of issue was on Friday when we realized no one came to clean the room. The only point of contact was a chat on the app. We asked about getting towels and were informed by the bot that there was a supply in a pantry closet on the fourth floor. It turned out the supply was a single drawer of towels for the entire hotel. We took the last two and realized we were not going to make the weekend. We tried to get the chatbot to clean the room, which it said it would only do every 14 days, but would come in special for $70. I should add that the chat bot was slow and clunky and this conversation took over three hours to complete. At no point were we able to obtain any means of speaking to a human being. The real problem emerged that night. The lobby of the hotel had been completely taken over by a restaurant. There was supposed to be a key pad to to the elevator but it was disabled meaning anyone could enter the hotel at any time.

Because this is a minimalist hotel room, it would be nice to add some color. In your picture you have a blanket on top of the bed for example. And it would be nice to provide basic TV cables to have the news while taking our shower or organizing ourselves for the day. And please improve the coffee maker! instant coffee, really???

The property need some update and it is smelly of old building. Also it is pretty noisy during night time.

Quick and easy check in. Didn’t need to speak to anyone. Place was clean, easy and in an amazing location.

The facilities were great! Nice comfy bed, great shower and lots of room. My recommendation would be that if you are looking for a nice place to go with all of your friends, this is the place. The neighborhood his hopping! If you are going away for a peaceful family vacation, then I would not recommend. There is a night club down the street, the street is alive at all hours and the restaurant downstairs plays awesome music when it’s open. None of this is the establishments fault, it’s just a vibrant neighborhood that goes to sleep in the early hours. Nothing that earplugs and a noise machine can’t help with!

Really well situated for city access. Room was good, but lacked any opening windows, air con was ok. Lovely and clean on arrival, except old food in fridge ! But no house keeping during the stay, which was a shame. Nice room.

There was ongoing major steel construction work happening just outside the hotel, starting as early as 7am and lasting throughout the day. This was throughout my stay. The constant noise made it impossible to rest. I understand that this is not within hotel’s control, but a duty of care is to make guests aware prior so that they can choose to stay or not. There was steel construction, so this was not minor works, but major building works which cause a lot of noise. Furthermore, the bar located downstairs was excessively noisy, people singing and shouting well into the night. Also, the TV did not work. It’s advertised as Chrome Cast, but this is not true. There isn’t anything on there despite troubleshooting for hours to enable you to use the TV, also annoyingly internet issues. I used the Wi-Fi details in the room, but this did not work. It said that the internet provider blocked access.

This space is easy to access and walkable with regards to Old Montreal. It may be a bit loud because it is on a busy street with bars and restaurants. Overall, a really great stay and very clean.

Checked in found stains on sheets and bathroom floors dirty ... no front desk so had to get hold of Sonder customer service .. eventually after 2 hours got hold and they were not able to find any replacement sheets or any housecleaning crew to do .. and night they changed our room to a different same style room but door access codes were not working ..secondly, masssive road constructions on rue Saint Paul very inconvenient to move around and construction sound started 6:30 in morning

No fuss or muss. Get a code to enter the building and up the elevator and into your room. No lines to check in or staff to hand you a key after waiting in line. Its like home.

The room was clean and the provision of toiletries in the hallway was very helpful. The hotel's location is great for walking to main points of interest. However, the walls of our room were very thin so we could hear our next-door neighbors. The bathroom wall facing into the main room has frosted glass with a clear section on the top and bottom, which made it awkward to use when multiple people are staying in the room together. There weren't any extra blankets available, which I would have appreciated for chilly nights.

Nice place. Loved the showerhead. Only issue was very thin walls. Could hear my neighbours. Other than that, clean, nice area. A little far for transport

Beautiful place to stay and super lovely. Walls were a tad thin but nothing horrible you just definitely could hear everyone in and around the building. Unfortunately the area outside was full of garbage but that’s not their fault just a Montreal thing.
