Lovely setting and wonderful hosts

Calm and quiet environment. Our 2 bedroom cottage is absolutely beautiful. It has everything you needed. Very thoughtful in all arrangement. Lovely place to stay in. Sad that we only stayed for one night. Should stay at 2 or more nights to enjoy the tranquillity of the environment.

Amazing beautiful property

Lovely property with stunning views and close to Peso do Régua. Shared areas are very well appointed and comfortable. Pool looked great but too cool to swim. Excellent value!

The property has been in the family for four generations.It felt like we were staying in a part of history and privileged to be able to share their home. You actually have the entire house and part of the vineyard to enjoy your stay.The hosts were gracious and attentive. We were sad to leave and wished we had booked a few nights more.

It was an amazing stay at Casa do Salgueiral. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Plus the beautiful views and lovely breakfast which made our stays even better. We will definitely come back next time if we visit Portugal again.

Wonderful hospitality by Jose and Elena. Beautiful tranquil setting with breathtaking views. We were served delicious breakfast by Elena every morning with fresh bread, scones, muffins…ham and cheese, figs!!! Homemade grape and fig compote were the best!! We ordered a charcuterie board and wine when we arrived and they were great! Will stay there again next chance I get😂

This place is like stepping into a secret world! From the village, it looks like just another house, but as soon as you open the gate, it’s a completely different vibe. You’re greeted by a beautiful path lined with vineyards, and the whole property is surrounded by them, making it feel super peaceful and secluded. The grounds are equally enchanting. There’s a lovely terrace for taking in the views, a pristine swimming pool for cooling off, and even a quaint chapel that adds a touch of timeless charm to the setting. The design and layout feel effortless, but you can tell that every aspect of this place was planned with care and passion. The daily breakfast is an absolute delight. Each morning, a charming basket filled with fresh, delicious food is brought to you by a kind and thoughtful lady. It’s these personal touches that make the experience so memorable and special. This place is truly a hidden oasis, perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature’s beauty. I cannot recommend it highly enough—it’s an absolute treasure!

Excellente endroit pour relaxer. Endroit très beau et très propre. Les hôtes sont très gentils et sont là pour nos besoins et nous rendre service. Notre séjour à vraiment été trop court.

This place is gorgeous! The hosts are welcoming and kind, the accommodations are top rate and the surroundings are beautiful. You need to take a few narrow, Portuguese roads to get there but it is well worth that effort.

A beautiful quinta in a picturesque setting that could be the location for a movie. The home is beautifully furnished with original pieces, our room (Nina"s room) overlooked the valley with outstanding views from the patio doors. The hosts, Jose and Milena, couldn't have been nicer and served a wonderful breakfast and were always available for information. At night as my wife and I were sitting on the terrace taking in the scenery, Milena brought us out two glasses of port with some peanut snacks complementary. You should not miss this place if you are staying in the region.

This was our favorite accommodation on our 25 day tour of Portugal. The property has been in the family for 4 generations. The apartment we stayed in was delightful and beautiful. We enjoyed having the spotless swimming pool to ourselves. Our hosts were amazing and so very helpful and attentive. If you ever have an opportunity to stay here I would HIGHLY recommend it!
