We had such a wonderful, personal, and unforgettable experience at this hotel. From the moment my sisters and I arrived, we were warmly welcomed in the lobby. Despite our last-minute request, the staff graciously accommodated us for the temazcal experience — something we will never forget. Pedro, the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for us. He worked hard to fit us into the temazcal ceremony and helped coordinate taxis for our last-minute requests. His kindness and effort made a big difference in our stay. Our shaman, Miguel, was incredibly thoughtful and made us feel safe and supported throughout the entire ceremony. He took his time to explain the process and guided us through a deeply spiritual and healing journey. A highlight of our stay was the food. Chef Adam E. curated and prepared the most delicious meals for us on both nights. He even came to our table to share how each dish was made, adding such a personal and thoughtful touch to our dining experience. We also loved staying in the bungalow — a magical setting where we could see fireflies dancing around the room through the glass walls. Surrounded by jungle sounds and nature, it truly felt like an escape into a serene, hidden paradise. This trip was special in every way, and we’re so grateful for the memories we made here.

We had a very interesting stay at Pepem Holistic Experience. It is advertised as a luxurious, tranquil resort, but it is actually more of a “glamping” experience. We love the concept, staff and efforts made, but unfortunately it really did fall short of what was advertised to us. There are a lot, and I mean, a lot of bugs that make it into the room due to the netting and having no glass windows, and they often have a lot of issues with power-which means no lights, no way to charge devices, etc. Outside of it not meeting our expectations as a luxury/boho stay, we were incredibly moved by the kindness, efficiency and capabilities of the staff and especially the chef that we encountered during our time at Pepem. Upon arrival we had a breezy check in and were offered food immediately. Every day that we spent there we were asked if there was anything needed to improve our stay, unfortunately I think a lot of our issues were outside of the staff’s control. All in all, the staff were the reason we left our vacation feeling overall satisfied and humble. Adam is one of the most talented chefs we have ever encountered. He made us feel like life long friends, even family. He went out of his way every day to Make sure that every guest not only had a full belly but had a smile on their face. We are very grateful for the staff at this resort, we had an overall decent stay and would recommend for a 1 night stay or meal out.

Absolutely stunning hotel in the jungle with such peaceful vibes. It was extremely close to the Dos Onos Cenotes so I was able to check those out and do some horseback riding. The staff was also incredible and very friendly. I absolutely loved my experience here.

Spent a week here. Lovely grounds. Very peaceful. We were aware of this before hand, but I would recommend renting a car or scooter as it is quite far from the beach. But you can definitely spend a few days at the different cenotes that are in walking or cycling distance.

Limited parking, on a busy and dusty road, with work vehicles driving through as early as 5:30 AM. While there is a noise curfew at 11 PM, a Cenote area across the street was celebrating a wedding late into one of the evening’s with extra loud drum noise and music. Other guests complained as well, but nothing could be done. Huge piles of trash were stacked across the road, and it cooked in the heat and wafted through the air. Our final evening, we ordered dinner and the chicken made my husband very ill. He was up all night long with severe stomach pain and diarrhea. When I mentioned it at check out, it was of no concern to the staff at all. We were charged full price his meal regardless. The staff were nice and friendly, but I felt they could have made this right. Overall, I wish we would have stayed somewhere else.

Absolutely, amazing! I traveled alone and stayed at Pepem Eco for five days. Lucy Mark goes all the staff were absolutely wonderful. The food is excellent especially the shrimp tacos but you can also get an amazing risotto or fish in a green Molé. All delicious I was there a few days before New Year’s, and they offered a Tamiscal with a local shaman. It was exactly what I needed to leave this year behind and head into the future with open eyes hears heart and mind, the owner, Juan Carlos even attended the Temescal with his wife, and we all ate and drank together afterwards. They offer free bicycles so you can bike to the mini cenote’s all in very very close proximity, the cenote pool they have is absolutely beautiful. There is a yoga Palapa, massages available, you could stay for weeks and never be bored. Oh how I wish I could!

Amazing place to stay at if you want to be one with nature and enjoy the sounds of creation without having the distraction of the everyday life. Enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by chef Marcos and his excellent staff. He accommodated us and prepared a delicious meal not on the menu specifically attending our taste buds. Amazing cenotes at walking distance from the property that you dont want to miss. Cant wait to visit again.

It was definitely an experience. A good one! But like most, the photos and instagram posts looked better than actually being there. I felt like being that we were in middle of the jungle, literally, there would have been more accommodations. We thought they would have a yoga instructor on site as shown on their instagram page but they didn’t. They had the space where we could do it ourselves. No room service options, at least not to our knowledge + I seen nothing regarding spa treatment. The pool was on maybe 2-3 days while we were there which was an inconvenience being that the pool fills up easily with leaves and dead bugs. And our stay was for 11 days. Having about 4 cenotes at walking or biking distance was great! We did 2 of them but I still think having the pool ready for us would’ve been best considering it was steps away from our cabana. The food was really good. And the staff was super friendly. It was about 40 mins away from Tulum Beach (not their fault) so we opted to leave early and stay by the beach for the remainder of our vacation. FYI; make sure to rent a car because paying for taxis gets ridiculously expensive. This particular hotel is far from everything!

Pepem Eco is a fantastic place to stay. Our room was perfect, it had a small pool, and glass all-around. The staff was awesome, Fernando and Sol took great care of us. Food was great, drinks were great as well. Beware, there’s no AC in the room, but at this time of the year we didn’t really need it, as it was cool enough during the night.

Great! it's lovely to be in the middle of the jungle yet with all the comfort needed. The Pepem villa with panoramic view is incredible! Access to the property is a bit difficult and taxis are expensive so it's worth considering renting a car.

Pepem is an eco hotel. It’s a wonderful place if you want to disconnect from the world. We didn’t encounter a lot of bugs like other reviews said there would be but it is in the middle of the jungle so be prepared. Also, there’s no wifi in the rooms nor hot water. We did love that there’s a small restaurant down the road called “Juanita’s” very good and affordable. There’s also a lot of cenotes around the area, our favorite one was “dos ojos” which you can find in front of the restaurant. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff was amazing.

This please is absolutely beautiful & breath taking views, but so scary!! The drive to the hotel is about 2/3 miles deep into the jungle no lights or scenes of security- it’s very on edge point watching every movement bc you seriously feel that you can get kidnapped!! The room is all ECO friendly no AC no ceiling fans, the staff asks that you charge your phones or electronics during the day as it’s all solar powered. There are no walls it is all screen windows- bathroom is see through windows felt like the neighbor Could see me- at night you hear the frogs underneath the flooring as well as all the other wild life- I had the unfortunate experience of finding huge bugs on my bed!! So, even though this was a beautiful & Romantic it is not comfortable if you’re not an all green individual or looking to feel 100% safe -

This property is beautiful and has a great echo friendly concept, but it’s just not for us. There should be some kind of “warning” on what you are getting in to. Too many mosquitos outside as well as inside (all over the house). My husband and I got bitten everywhere from head to toes. No AC they only had one very small fan. The pool was empty when we got there had to wait around 1 1/2 hrs for it to get filled. Once we get in the pool water was beyond cold. The next morning we had NO hot or at least warm water to shower. It was a very unpleasant experience.

My experience was amazing! One of the best places i ever stayed at. The only bad thing, are the mosquitoes which is totally understandable, this place is in the jungle. Just have a lot of mosquitoes spray and you ll be fine. Amazing! Stuff very very very VERY NICE. I would repeat the experience anytime! Thank you!
