Whilst I had a balcony room, the balcony hadn’t had previous guests bottles cleared away. Bed was clean - generally room felt a bit grimy. Tap was disgusting. No towels. Hotel feels generally dirty and run down. £15 for a small bottle of beer and a bottle of cider

The staff was friendly and polite. Our double room was small and clean. However, the bed (room 29) was the most uncomfortable we've ever slept in. It was very soft and we could feel the springs sticking into us. We ended trying to sleep on top of the duvet. We would have asked to be moved but had travelled all day to get to Newquay and were exhausted. When reporting this to Reception the next morning we were told that all the mattresses were new!

Nobody answered the phone...shower dirty with black mould...one window did not open...plastic grass on outside of hotel...no where to get a coffee before 8.00am..unit in shower room paint flaking...uncormfortable pillows....

Very little interaction with staff. Didn’t tell me where to find my room. Expected me to have an email with room code. Which didn’t arrive.

Hotel was very aged, carpets leading up to the room were brown instead of the baby blue original color. Rooms very small and toilet also. Mattress and pass it sell by date as you could fill every spring in it. Wouldn't use hotel again.

Clean room a bit smaller than expected but nicely done. Booked a parking place in May, phoned day before arrival to make sure it was available and it was confirmed. Phoned again 12.00 to ask if we could park early, again confirmed. On arrival we were told we didn't have a parking place!!! We were told to park on the next street.

The room was unclean and very dirty. Food on the floor, smears on the kettle, and a stained duvet cover and hair on the sheets. They changed my room and the second room was serviced better, but was still dirty. Upholstery is stained, carpets are stained and not recently vacuumed. But since the sheets and towels were clean I stayed one night. It was the same with the hallway and staircases - heavily stained stained and unvacuumed carpets in the stairwells. Stained surfaces on wallpaper, kettles, etc.

Stayed for one night as a couple. Surprisingly quiet for Newquay (it was a Sunday night) so thankful for that. Room had everything we needed and was clean. Parking onsite was an extra £10 for the night. A short walk to most things but overall a good location.

Nice cheap and cheerful hotel

Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired.

We checked in to the hotel and were taken to our room, the stairs up to the room were filthy with stains and marks all over. We arrived at our room and the member of staff read out the code for our room out loud in the corridor, so anyone that overheard could have had access to our room. We stayed for about 5 minutes before checking straight back out again, as the room was beyond filthy. There were bits of dirt all over the carpet, and the teaspoon that had been left on the side for us to use for tea/coffee had a dried coffee stain on it, so obviously hadn’t been changed over since the last guests. We booked the room because it was cheap and in a good location, and the reviews seemed good. However, the hotel is awful and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here the lack of cleanliness is beyond belief. Avoid this hotel and don’t be fooled by the positive reviews.

Best hotel we've stayed at for ages the guy on reception was really helpful made it a really pleasant relaxing stay really comfortable bed and perfect shower would stay again was worth the money

As always the staff at the OYO Newquay are the reason I regularly stay here. They are very professional and personable, diligently solving any issue a guest may have. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

As all ways the staff and accommodations were superb!

Great location and Lovely room which has been upgraded and very clean. Heating wasn’t working but there was a heater in the room instead which worked well. Lovely costal & beach views. Disappointed that the Bar and restaurant were not open and we didn’t have the breakfast so cannot comment on that. When we arrived one of the fro t windows was smashed which didn’t make the hotel look very appealing and 4 days later when we were leaving it was still like that. Overall a lovely hotel and I would definitely stay again.

it was a really nice stay. the room was lovely, marks here and there so needs a bit of reno but apart from that, bed was comfy, the receptionist at the desk was lovely and helpful, even put a cone on my reserved parking :) pleasant stay in the centre ! (shower door wouldn’t close which was frustrating, but that just goes with needs a bit of reno!)
