My birthday at Hotel La Compañía was nothing short of extraordinary, and truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely spoiled by the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Every detail was so thoughtfully curated, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making my stay special. The room itself was absolutely beautiful, an elegant blend of history and luxury, with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. It was the kind of space you look forward to returning to, even after a full day of exploring. One of the highlights was the incredible massage at their in-house spa, which was pure bliss and the perfect way to ease into a day of celebration. The entire experience felt indulgent, calming, and deeply restorative. What truly set this stay apart, though, were all the thoughtful touches. I arrived to find a delicious birthday cake waiting in my room, and later, while celebrating with friends at Capella Rooftop Bar, another cake appeared—completely unexpected and such a joyful moment. As if that wasn’t enough, we were treated to complimentary champagne by the pool, adding an extra sparkle to an already perfect day. Every interaction with the team felt genuine and effortless, and they managed to strike that rare balance between professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. I left feeling incredibly grateful, celebrated, and already dreaming of my return. Hotel La Compañía is a true gem in Casco Viejo and an unforgettable place to mark a special occasion.

So glad we choosed to stay at La compañia for our fist trip to Panama. We got the spanish wings, beautiful room and comfortable bedding. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old city. The doormen are always welcoming with smile and Barbara from the frontdesk was very helpful (Thank You!!) We had dinner at El Santuario, which was lovely and The American Bar for snacks and drinks, servers are very friendly and the foods were excellent. The only downside is breakfast from the coffee shop. Will definitely stay at La Compañia again for the next trip!

We stayed at Hotel La Compania for 2 nights and then again for 1 night at the end of our trip to Panama. What a treat. This is an absolutely beautiful hotel that is perfectly located and the staff, food and beverage are exceptional. Definitely recommend with no hesitation!

I did not stop at this hotel, but, I came for breakfast on 3 mornings. The hotel is beautiful. My only complaint is that I ordered from the menu for breakfast (not the buffet), however, when I finished eating, on the first 2 occasions, my plate was just left next to me for more than 1 hour, despite numerous staff walking past me on multiple occasions with their hands empty. Nobody asked me if I wanted to order another coffee (which I did, as I wanted to stay there longer). The food I had was actually delicious, no complaints at all about that. But the lack of attentiveness of the staff was disappointing. They all seemed to be more bothered about chatting amongst themselves (especially the women) than actually doing their job.

Due to a cancelled flight, we spontaneously spent one night in Panama City and luckily enough made the decision to stay in this wonderful hotel. The building is beautiful and the location perfect for exploring the old town. The room we had (French wing) was clean and decorated with style, which made us feel very well. Since we only spent one night, we did not have the opportunity to explore the many restaurants and bars the hotel offers, but the breakfast was excellent. Also, the lush gardens are a welcoming place for spending some breaks in between exploring the city. The most impressive part for us was however the staff. Every single one of the staff members we spoke with was professional, friendly and extremely willing to help. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again one day.
