Clean room. Modern clean shared bathroom.

One of the staff members was fantastic I think his name was Q. However the hotel decided to book in maintenance to be done at midnight, and had a jackhammer sound outside of our door and did not tell us. Eventually, after unplugging their machinery 3 times they stopped. Spoke to a staff member before unplugging the tools who was rude and inconsiderate. The pub itself had nice food except for the pasta

This hotel locates in a very nice neighborhood, bus stop and supermarket just steps away. Walk to the ferry terminal enjoying fantastic views on the way. Staff are very friendly. Bars and restaurant on the ground floor. Only not very convenient is sharing bathroom. But we managed well with it.

Comfortable bed. Great staff and fantastic location. Felt safe and lots of choice for meals when needed. A mini bar fridge would really help to make the stay more convenient. We love cold milk for tea and coffee when we first wake and keeping food from spoiling. The next time we visit Sydney we will think about staying here as the ferry terminal is a short uber ride away. Quality cafes around and IGL across the road.

The room was very well maintained and the staff were lovely. The food was also amazing. Will definitely stay again some day.

The room had broken slats and let in so much light i Couldn't get a good sleep. They wouldnt change my room nor offer a partial refund. Going through my bank to complete a charge back.

It’s an old place. No hangers, limited supplies, no cleaning, limited parking

The accommodation and services is excellent. Their staff very friendly and amazing. Very highly recommended to his accommodation and I’m sure will stay in this hotel next time visit Thank you good people.

My son and I stayed for the state of origin. The rooms were comfortable and neat, beers were delicious, staff were tremendous. We’ll definitely be back.

Very nice and value for money. My only complaint - and minor at that - was the room was a little stuffy, no fresh air as all windows were sealed. I’d be very happy to visit again. Ray

As far as a pub goes its lively and popular, as far as a hotel i wouldn’t stay there again

Room shutters needed repair. Overall the facilities were fair for what they are and, whilst pretty noisy, the Palace represents good value. It’s an old pub so be realistic; don’t expect a quiet, modern experience. 3.5 stars.

Very poor noice control , downstairs are pubs while everybody singing and chatting loudly even at approx 12:00 AM, room no curtain to shade corridor lighting, no dark environment for sleeping at all. What’s worse was the shower room, malfunctioning water tap , very firm and hard to rotate for temperature adjustment, imagine you are unclothed to bath while frigid water and keep adjusting water tap to the right temp for 10-15 mins, even you are rinsing your body, suddenly boiling water or sudden freezing water…. Think twice prior to placing order, the only thing satisfying were the price and easy off street free Carpark, while need to be shared with the bar which is frequently occupied

Was disappointed with cleanliness of room and bathrooms. There were stains in both carpet in room and bathroom tiles. Stayed 2 night out of 4 because bar downstairs was extremely loud until 12 am, the bed was literally shaking from the music, which was disappointing as i was not aware of that happening. Room was extremly warm despite being moderate temperatures and ceiling fan only worked on 1 slow setting. Very dissatisfied

I wasn’t expecting the Ritz, but the property needs a good clean and refurbish. Start with the ceiling fans, just way to hot in the room

Spacious rooms. No a/c, shared bathrooms a bit dated but what can you expect ! Lovely building.

Clean basic rooms I would have liked a small fridge in the room.

Place was not as advertised. While looks okay from outside, found bugs in room upon check-in and left immediately. When we confronted property manager, he promised a full refund but did not follow through when Expedia contacted him.
