I don’t normally write messages like this, but I felt really let down by our recent stay at your Penticton location and wanted to bring some things to your attention.
While the room had potential, it felt unfinished and frankly, a little neglected - especially considering the $280 per night rate. From the moment we arrived, it seemed like the room was still under construction or not properly inspected before our stay.
At the front door, the laminate floor from the outside walkway wasn’t cut or secured properly - a clear tripping hazard.
Inside, a coiled ethernet cable was lying right by the entry - again, another safety concern.
The inside front door handle had drywall dust on it.
The electrical panel was exposed and an eyes sore.
The walls were chipped and scuffed in multiple areas, which was surprising if this room is supposed to be newly renovated.
Several electrical outlets weren’t securely fastened, which doesn’t feel safe.
The bathtub still had the plastic protective film on it, as if the space wasn’t fully prepared for guests.
On top of that, the air conditioner had black marks around the plug that looked like a past short circuit - very concerning.
On the service side, we had issues with key cards on check-in and again the following day. And the water situation was frustrating - mostly running warm or hot, and barely cool even after someone came to look at it. It was 38 degrees outside, and we couldn’t even get cold wa
