I booked a stay at this hotel for myself and my mother to visit family in the city, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing due to discriminatory policies. While we saw certain (more American passing guests) freely bringing as many visitors as they wanted, our guests were subjected to extra scrutiny and asked for documentation.
One of our pregnant cousins was even followed all the way up to the room by a security guard, which made her feel extremely uncomfortable. I would normally appreciate strict security measures if they were applied fairly, but it was clear that these rules were selectively enforced based on who they chose to police.
Discrimination has no place in the hospitality industry. I was planning on booking another stay later this year, but I will be choosing a hotel that treats all guests with fairness and respect. I hope management seriously reconsiders these practices because no one should have to experience this kind of treatment.
