The good. Easy check in process, room was clean, housekeeping did a fantastic job. The bad. The hotel Internet went out for days, which controls basically everything there. Couldn't make a phone call, access the Internet, or even watch the t.v. which ( which when traveling with young children is kinda nice to have when you want to take a shower in peace ) Speaking of showers, this is where it really wasn't great. Between about 6 and 10 p.m. there wasn't enough hot water to get the shower above tepid. Many nights it was downright cold especially around 8 p.m. Next, they advertise laundry facilities for guests. Which technically they do have... But it's one washer and one dryer.... So it was essentially always in use. There is space in their laundry area for multiple machines if they had opted for the stackable front loader style that the maker of the machines they have does produce. Location is decent, some sketchy businesses nearby but nothing that is going to lead to a concern for safety.

Hotel staff are all great with great location. But the homeless and wired people around the corner is scary. Breakfast is the same with limited choice every day.

Great location just a few minutes walk from esplanade. New interior, comfy beds, good views.

The good: location, washer and dryer available but bring your own coins, it’s pretty and clean. The bad: no A/C and even though this is Australias winter, it is bloody hot and we had to keep the windows wide open while sleeping otherwise it would have been unbearable.

Way too expensive for this place, much nicer ones in the area for cheaper. I wouldn’t stay again

Beautiful and clean and lovely staff

Friendly, clean and very central to cairns city. Only thing is you can hear your neighbours !! Walking above you and sliding screen doors. Otherwise great value for money.

The room and bathroom was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. However, the air-conditioning was very noisy and the room is not sound proof and the boom boom from the night club across the road was annoying.

The property is convientient to everything and smell ckean all the time.

Great rooms and location, staff were helpful. Breakfast was good.

Great property overall. My only issue was that it was always moist in the room. Nothing ever dried if it got wet or damp. But it was clean and stylish. I would stay here again.

Clean rooms, plenty of space. 2 cups,bowls, plates and glasses available in room. Parking at your own extra cost. Most staff friendly, Gym is off premises and 20min walk away. Food can be catered for coeliac. Bar was amazing too

Very clean hotel and modern rooms. The rooms had good aircon. We came on Easter bank holiday weekend. We were disappointed to find out on arrival that the hotel restaurant wasn’t open for the duration of our stay. We didn’t know about this until we checked in

Brilliant stay, lovely hotel and really big rooms. Lovely view, and was a pleasure to stay there. The staff were brilliant and we had a lovely stay. Would recommend it to anyone

If your going to stay in cairns the Benson is the place close to everything clean quite great breakfast Gilligans is across the road If you want party that little extra perfect 👌
