This is gem in the middle of the mountains. The hotel is beautiful beyond words, the staff is excellent the food delicious. We had an amazing stay and will come back for sure. For me as a wildlife photographer, this was Paradise.

A beautiful garden environment.

The lodge and the cabin were excellent. The restaurant very nice, clean and the food and service were excellent. The trails on the property were fantastic. We loved this lodge!!

The perfect place to stay to maximize your chances of seeing quetzals. Not the cheapest but worth every dollar. Beautiful grounds even in the rain. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good restaurant with great service. Truly excellent guide in Greibin.

Amazing

Had a lovely stay. The grounds are gorgeous. Our room was clean, and plenty warm with the small heater. We didn't even need to leave the property to see a Quetzal. I love the communal bar/lounge.

We loved the nature around Trogon Lodge. The landscaping was amazing, and my son loved watching the trout in the pond. We loved all the birds and the hiking trails. The grounds of Trogon Lodge were so lush and beautiful, and photos cannot capture their enchanting beauty. For people with mobility issues, be aware that the lodge is a steep slope and could be difficult for some. Also, it is advisable to pack wisely so you don't bring unnecessary luggage up to the room, as it is a trek carrying it.

The grounds were stunning. The lodges/cabins were clean and quiet, but were basic.

We loved this beautiful resort with wonderful flowers. Non of the rooms had wifi and our internet provider (Kolbi) wouldn’t work in the rooms. Wifi was provided in the restaurant and bar area. We did see quetzal birds with an early morning guide…well worth it!

Beautiful location

Gardens were fabulous. Facilities were amazing. The staff were great. Graven gave a great, passionate tour of the quetzals.

Gorgeous property, flowers, hummingbirds, river. Cabins basic but clean and comfortable. Quetzal watching early in the morning. Dining room nice with good food and service.

This lodge is a hidden gem. The food at the restaurant was a little hit and miss, but everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Greivin went out of his way to help in any way he could and he also leads the excellent Quetzal tours every morning!! Great stay!!

This was a great property off the beaten path. Road going down is narrow and could use some work but once you get there it’s worth it. Staff was excellent.

Great location for birders. Difficult road in. Bring warm clothes and raincoat

Great accommodations & viewed many Quetzales.
