This was a nice hotel. Very expensive though and it seemed understaffed. The rooms were clean but there were stains on the carpets and the windows were really dirty. Front desk staff were kind but seemed overwhelmed. I would stay here again though, no real complaints.

Beautiful new hotel right on Lake Canadaiqua! Rooms very up to date and new. Bedding was very comfortable!

We had a lovely experience at the Hotel Canandaigua. The hotel is situated just off the waterfront with beautiful views of the lake. Parking was easy and ample and the lobby is spectacular. We got a room on the first floor with a patio opening up to the waterfront and pool, which was lovely for an early morning stroll and coffee. The staff was courteous and the room was beautifully cleaned with all the fixtures (furniture, bedding, bathroom) brand new. Just a few things to mention. The chemicals in the pool were way off and burned our eyes and even skin. Our kids love a pool, but we only tired it once and just for a few minutes. We were really excited about that amenity and the outdoor pool was a deciding factor when selecting this hotel, so that was disappointing. We mentioned this to the staff and they could not do anything about it. Also, we paid extra to have our breakfast included. That addition wasn’t showing up so I had to search my Expedia app and show it to them. Once I was able to produce the written confirmation, the front desk staff were kind and made sure to add it to our booking, but it didn’t actually work out to be fully included breakfast. We were allotted $40 per day ($20 per adult, and nothing for the two kids) to spend at their restaurant. Each breakfast entree was $15+ so we ended up paying for the overage each day. Finally, the electricity went out for several hours one morning but came back on. A few quirks but a beautiful property! So many cute dogs.

To begin with, parking at the hotel was difficult because the hotel must not police who parks there. We parked in grass by the road. I booked 1 room with 2 beds for my friend and I and a king room separately for a family member. I checked in at 4 pm, got to room to find 1 bed and small sofa. When I spoke with a man at desk he told me if I didn’t want the room I could go find another hotel that had a 2 bed room available. He was cocky and rude. Blamed it on the fact that I booked with a 3rd party. The other 1 bed room was dirty. The family member found blood on the toilet seat and the floor had food on it so it was not properly clean. I have stayed at a lot of different hotels and never had these issues. Paying $500 a night for each room for the weekend, I expect to get the room type I booked and not have to sleep on a couch! I also am grossed out about the unsanitary condition of the other room. I would think their front desk emps be better trained and not tell a guest to go find another hotel. Next time I guess I will.

What a wonderful place! boating, private beach bar, walk the promenade, parks! has it all!

I booked this room 6 months ago. We checked in only to find out that they had changed my reservation.

The property is right by the lake. Walking by the lake and swimming in the hotel pool or by the lake is easy access. The hotel is well maintained and has many places to sit, relax and enjoy the view indoor and outdoor. The Canandaigua Lady boat ride is few feet away from the hotel, which is a plus. The hotel restaurant takes a long time to serve the ordered food. Only complain.

Got the lake view room and it was all worth it. Had brunch at the restaurant down stairs which was top knotch. Chicken n waffles were phenomenal

I tried to get in touch with the front desk as I wasn’t feeling well and needed towels and nope answered. After 5 calls, I had to send my daughter down. In the morning, I just wanted a cup of coffee and it was empty. I told the front desk and they never refilled it.

Great stay! Beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. We will definitely be coming back.

Everyone was so attentive. We booked the hotel for our children’s honeymoon night. Everyone was so attentive from start to finish.

Hotel was beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean.

All of the staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating! We had an app and drinks at the bar, food was great and prices were fair. We were there Thursday-Monday and our room was only cleaned once, could have used at least one more maid service. Would be beautiful during the summer!

The hotel has a beautiful, cozy feel. The security for each floor is nice, your key only unlocks your floor on the elevator.

We book three room and one room was not ready when we got to the hotel and we had to wait about 1/2 because of it.
