Clean room, comfortable bed, nice staff,

Really lovely hotel brought my two small children it was great they loved it!

Lovely hotel. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very luxurious. The evening meal was okay but my husband’s dish tasted quite bland, considering the prices - we expected slightly better quality. We really enjoyed the history and novelty of the hotel. The free mini bar was a nice touch.

Such a great hotel, I can't say enough good things about it. The room (wow!) was awesome, fantastic and I had the most restful and amazing sleep during my stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Totally recommend you visit and experience this for yourself, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Amazing staff. Unbelievably friendly, helpful and nothing is too much for them and they look smart and very well spoken. The room was absolutely amazing, nice and clean. It's amazing how so many original features are still there. The ghost walk and the self guided tour was also fantastic. We will certainly be back as we want to do the after hours tour. Couldn't ask for a better service or place to stay 😊

A Luxury Stay in Name Only - Cold, Uncomfortable & Poorly Managed. This place could have been incredible. The building is unique, the concept is bold, and it genuinely has the potential to be something special. But our stay at Bodmin Jail Hotel was anything but luxurious. We were initially given one of the more characterful rooms, and it looked promising. But that’s where the positives end. No Sleep. No Heating. No Urgency. Within hours of settling in, the problems started. The mattress was uneven with a broken spring, and the heating in the room simply did not work. We didn’t “sleep badly.” We didn’t sleep at all. Two nights in a row we were waking up every hour, freezing cold, sore, and genuinely feeling like we’d done ten rounds in a boxing ring by morning. If you have back or hip issues.. Avoid. Reception tried, but there was maintenance on site. At a so-called luxury hotel.. We were told to wait. And then wait some more. Maintenance didn’t arrive the next day either. We ended up asking for three additional king duvets just to stay warm and even used one to cover the broken spring so we could lie down without pain. We spent two hours of our evening just trying to figure out how to manage the room situation. We were offered one alternative dog-friendly room - functional heating - but completely clinical. Bright white, box-like, stripped of any of the stone or cell character that makes this hotel unique.

Great hotel , staff were friendly, rooms were clean, food was fantastic and a good little gym. Loved the vibe of the place in line with being an old prison. The in-house spooky tour in the basement was ok , but make what you want of it, probably not the best value for money but still fun/ interesting.

the whole experience was fantastic, a warm welcome by all staff. we had an issue with our heating not working in our room, an attempt was made twice to repair it but unsuccessful, we went out for Dinner and was offered another room late evening, although the offer was appreciated we felt it was to late to move. all in all a very lovely hotel and we will hopefully return soon.

The whole hotel was very good with kind friendly staff good food .couldn't fault it.

Everything was amazing staff friendly, atmosphere was phenomenal. Ee did two toyrs abd Elliot was great, shame we didnt meet a ghost. The only small thing was, the coffee could have been hotter at breakfast

Leaving aside the novelty value, this is an excellent hotel. Superbly appointed room with excellent bathroom and everything works perfectly: near-silent but efficient climate control, faultless WiFi connectivity and TV casting. The restaurant is a treat, creative and beautifully presented menu choices and fabulous breakfast choices. Most of all the staff made the visit special; attentive, warm, courteous and helpful. Superb, thank you.
