The entire staff at the property were wonderful. The manager Santos made us feel so comfortable, and everyone else was great. Unfortunately, we didn’t have as good time because of the anti-semetic graffiti all over the city.

Our stay at Azade was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the location is excellent. But what rule sets it apart are the staff. Specifically, Xanthos, the hotel manager went above and beyond to make our trip outstanding. His recommendations were great and he makes personalized recommendations that fit our needs. Oh and the breakfast, great start to our day! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more!!!

Delightful old town charmer. Exceptional staff, gorgeous room, in heart of old port, and don’t miss the wonderful breakfast. Best hotel we stayed at on our Greek island odyssey. Only 9 rooms and ours had large port facing balcony. Truly a gem!

The accommodations and the service we received at Azade was outstanding! Upon arrival, the manager saw to our every need, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as enjoyable and memorable as possible. From the complimentary refreshments in the fridge to offering us an upgrade in our room, giving us restaurant recommendations and breakfast to go in boxes for us before our beach excursion early in the morning, to allowing us to store our baggage for a few hours after we checked out, we received personal service from the manager and his staff from the beginning to the end of our stay in Chania. Also, the high ceiling room we had was beautiful-complete with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a dining table & chairs, and a private patio overlooking the harbor. Every room even had its own temperature control. This was more like an apartment than a hotel room. I cannot say enough good things about Azade Chania! I would highly recommend this amazing hotel to anyone staying in Chania.

We recently stayed in the Grand Suite at Azade Chania, and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous — full of historic charm and beautifully restored details. Its location is superb, nestled in the heart of the old town and just a short stroll from the harbour. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful, and the included breakfast was lovely – fresh, tasty, and served with care. We also appreciated that we weren’t charged for any extras, which made for a relaxed, no-fuss stay. Chania is beautiful! That said, while the suite was visually stunning and clearly designed with style in mind, we found it a little lacking in practicality. There weren’t many surfaces or storage options, which made unpacking and organizing things like toiletries a bit tricky. There was no dedicated space to do makeup, so I ended up using the dining table for that. Also, while the bed linen looked and felt luxurious, the sheets seemed to be synthetic and made us quite warm during the night. One other point to note: the listing describes the suite as having a “private” terrace, but in reality, it borders another room’s terrace with only a low divider between them. It doesn’t offer a particularly special view either — you have to lean a bit to catch a glimpse of the old harbour. Still, despite these small inconveniences, we really enjoyed our time at Azade.

Amazing staff and cleanliness. I loved how eco-friendly everything was and if you need any assistance or just to have a conversation, this is the place to stay. Breakfast being included was a bonus and you’re in the heart of Chania old town, which is very walkable and lovely to explore.

The Azade Chania was the perfect choice for us. If you're reading this, you've read the other reviews as well. They're all true. This recently completed, historical gem is perfectly located for shopping and dining. Would highly recommend. Book early.

This place is an absolute gem and should be your #1 booking choice in Chania. Spacious comfortable rooms, a super clean facility and a terrific location (a 3 minute walk to a great jazz club and the best ice cream in Crete), a short walk to all the best restaurants and above the heavy congestion. But what sets this place apart is the stellar level of hospitality - we stay all over the world and rarely give reviews - this place could give a master class in hospitality. Easily one of the best choices you can make for lodging in Chania.

The Azade is superb in every way. The rooms are beautifully (very large) and elegant. The service and staff are truly extraordinary and their commitment to the guest experience is unrivaled. A luxury hotel and one of my most memorable hotel experiences in my 62 years of traveling. You MUST stay here.

This hotel was fabulous! Everything about it - the location, room, cleanliness, breakfast, amenities were all exceptional! However, it was the staff, especially Iro, Artemis, and Xanthos that added so much to my wonderful experience - they were incredibly kind and extremely helpful! I would highly recommend this hotel and am looking forward to a return visit!

We loved our stay in October 2024. This property had the most zen feeling I've ever experienced. If you're looking for a quiet place to return to after a busy day, this is a great choice. Good location for fun.

We had an amazing stay for two nights. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The hotel was in a perfect location in the old town and I cannot say enough about how great the staff was. They were welcoming, informative, and went out of their way to help us make the most out of our stay via recommendations/suggestions. I would highly recommend.

Our stay at Azade was excellent. Our room was the 'Superior Suite with Old Harbor View' and it was a lovely room with lots of space for two people and plenty of closet space for clothes. The complimentary welcome snacks were a very nice touch. The four poster bed is large and very comfortable. The small balcony overlooking the popular street below and the harbor area was also fantastic. There is air conditioning in the bedroom and living room areas which keeps the room nice and cool. The cleaning staff do an excellent job keeping the rooms immaculate every day. The breakfast was also a highlight and featured a huge range of delicious hot and cold food options, prepared to order. The property itself is very charming and is in an ideal location in the old town. The only two downsides were the parking which is very limited (no private parking available) and the sound insulation in the hotel could have been better. We often had to drive around for 20-30 mins to find parking and usually had to walk 15 mins to the hotel, which is ok unless you're carrying a lot of bags. We found the sound insulation in our room to be poor and could hear guests in the room above us walking around as well as the staff/guests talking at reception below us. Overall this is a lovely hotel with brilliant staff and we would recommend it to anyone staying in Chania.

It is a stunning hotel, beautifully decorated, quiet, comfortable and right in the heart of the old town. Amazing breakfast with generous freshly made-to-order portions catering for dietary requirements such as gluten-free. The staff though are the highlight welcoming you like family, recommending places to visit and great restaurants to have dinner. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well-appointed and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Beach towels are available on request and there is free parking nearby only a few minutes walk as the old town is closed to vehicles. I would come here again and this has been the pinnacle of our three week trip and has made our first time in Crete very special
