As an American traveling to Baku this is what I can tell you: I needed to find accommodations close to my wife's family on short notice. King bed, balcony for smoking, and a bathroom in the room (watch out, some hotels don't offer that!) sums up my requirements. My wife was already in Baku and checked out a couple of options that were priced a bit lower, ie $100usd lower for the week. I found Krone and booked it prior to getting approval from my wife. I live dangerously sometimes lol! Location was great for me. 15min walk to the most popular mall in Baku, subway is close and can get you anywhere a tourist or local off work would want to go, and if you need anything from a market to a hair stylist it's right outside. Staff was excellent. Anything that was lacking was solved in 5min. Breakfast was awesome, don't be afraid to ask them to warm something or ask for anything made to order. All in all Krone exceeded my expectations. I expected a shiny motel6 for what I paid, and even being familiar with what things cost in Baku I was very pleased with my stay. I'd definitely stay at Krone again in the future.

No restaurant or bar availability in the evening. The hotel itself is excellent, but the surrounding housing is very poor. Lift door safety sensor not working, my arm was trapped for several seconds until two of us pulled the door open. Good breakfast, but late at 8am. Spacious room, good WiFi. Staff excellent, friendly and helpful.

(1) 2 days before leaving for Baku, Hotel sent email to say they had not been paid by Expedia. This was extremely stressful and took a full day to sort out. However when we returned back to UK, the situation had still not been sorted between the hotel and Expedia. (2) liked the room and facilities in the room (3) Staff were not able to speak English very well (4) Breakfast - If catering for tourists, there were no options available (5) The hotel were not able to change foreign currency to local currency.
