Upon arrival, we had to pay £7 per day for parking, then the man who owned the hotel asked us which breakfast we were paying for until I explained that you had already booked us a continental breakfast within the cost of the room. The dining room was dark, dingy and very outdated and dirty with cobwebs everywhere. I got to my room and couldn't open the windows as there were smelly wheely bins outside of the window. The room was the smallest one in the hotel, it wasn't clean, the skirting boards were peeling off and my bedside table over hung onto the bed so far that I rolled over and banged my eyebrow on the corner of it. My room was so hot I couldn't sleep so I tried to put the bathroom extractor on but it was so full of dust that it didn't work, I could hear every guest in the hotel coughing sneezing and going to the loo as the walls were so thin. The carpets were sticky; it smelt funny all throughout and Ian wasn't given any shower towels, just hand towels. The owner was nowhere to be seen after we checked in so we couldn't ask him for any. As for the continental breakfast, it was some cheap nasty croissants that were so doughy, we couldn't swallow them, the juice didn't taste like juice, and the milk smelt funny so there was no chance of cereal.

Very convenient for the NEC, clean and ample breakfast

Lovely staff! Comfy room and bed, very clean, silence at most times, you can use the toaster and microwave in their common area and complimentary coffee, tea, water in the room. Stunning nature around the hotel and a beautiful area in the backyard.

Staff were friendly, my room was clean and location to Nec was great

Room was clean, not too far from the airport or city center. Don't trust the cab company they have at the front desk tho. Was overcharged and taken for a much longer ride than necessary while being lectured on politics by the driver. Stick to Uber instead!

Staff were so friendly. Room was adequate and clean.

Our 3 complaints were the heater was broken. We had to ask for a heater which they provided. The TV did not work nor was there a remote. We were in room 4 which we could hear every guest coming and going. The noise was constant. We could hear them at the front desk. Other than that it served its purpose for being close to the event that we attended. The front desk staff was personable.

Good for what i needed

Firstly the positives. Staff were absolutely lovely - friendly, helpful and polite. The hotel is in a great location, and is very pretty, not just your bog standard boring hotel. Unfortunately, our ground floor room was like a fridge. The radiator got no warmer than just above body temperature, and the small shower room was seriously draughty and even colder than the room. The water from the shower was just over a trickle and nowhere near warm enough. Stepping out into the room was a horrible experience! The breakfast was very over priced - £15 for 2 of the nastiest sausages (the type that are £5 for a hundred), awful dried shrivelled mushrooms, rock hard bacon and cheap beans with instant coffee. The toast was ok though. For £15 I expected far better.

Friendly welcoming approachable helpful professional staff. Room slightly musty smell on arrival nothing febreeze spray couldn't sort out.

Just an overnight stay as we were going to the NEC,very convenient location.very helpful with ordering takeaway .Room very small but on ground floor which was ideal for my husband.Bed quite comfortable but pillows were so hard and not comfortable.

Do not pay for breakfast at all as it is really not worth £3. No sockets in the room that are accessible Ensuite is tiny. No hot water for a shower. No teaspoons or saucers at breakfast. I put a plate out to put teabags and sachets on. No sauces available and the continntal breakfast was very very limited. Cooked breakfast was awful. Bacon was that crispy that you couldn't cut it. Eggs weren't good. Staff were nice enough when you could find one. I will not be back

The hotel is small , set in a convent location , the welcome and service was exemplary, parking charge could have been clearer , but not a problem, £6 for night was ok , my room was basic but enough for what I wanted

Good value for money if a little noisy

Located very close to bus stops, actually makes it a hotel with a very small amount of walking to the NEC. Staff was friendly and respectful. Card machine issue but he resolved it very quickly ay check-in.
