Staying here is a very convenient location. However, the Wi-Fi in the room was terrible. Breakfast on day one was one Fried egg and one frozen hash brown . The constant buzz of the heat pump/ air con drove me crazy in the room . The furniture and floors felt gross and dirty . We paid some random property fee which Expedia said was a hold and the property said it’s a fee and won’t be returned. We stayed three nights and were definitely let down considering the glowing reviews . The stairs are steep and the main door was left wide open and not locked . This made me feel very uncomfortable. We didn’t once get asked if we needed anything . Pillows kept falling out of the pillow cases and the bed wasn’t comfortable at all . I wish I had something positive to share besides the location.

The place was clean and convenient. It was a converted home so be aware that the bathroom was very narrow and the shower was tiny. Breakfast was very good and the bed was comfortable.

Great location, we enjoyed our stay. Found parking nearby at $25 per day. Breakfast was included and basic but good. Stairs are very steep and narrow, would be difficult for some to navigate with luggage. Internet very poor. Issues with second inside door latching close.

There is never staff or someone to greet you. The room and bathroom were very small. The towels were old. Other than that, the room looked charming, and best of all, the location was perfect.

This place had some bad reviews and it worried me when we went. The truth is that the property is very European. The complaints on the bathroom being small, makes me feel like people have never been overseas. The bathroom was small but that is the style. These properties are stuck together and have minimal space, hence the experience of being in an old European style city. The bed was amazing, the old windows were beautiful and it’s on a side street with minimal traffic (except garbage pickup is loud). We didn’t have breakfast on site because we are early risers and no one stirs until well after 8am in Old Quebec. We enjoyed the city and the parking was close to the property as well ($24/day)

This is a unique property in a very convenient location. We really enjoyed our experience as we appreciate non traditional venues. The proprietor was very nice and even allowed us to access our room earlier than check in since it was available. The stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow, so a traveler with physical limitations would need to stay on the first floor.

The staff was so warm and welcoming. The room was clean and it was in the perfect spot! Will definitely come again!

This place is very cute, taking us back in history. Very well maintained and right in the middle of the tourist areas. This is what we wanted, to be able to walk through Old Quebec. The breakfast was really good and service was exceptional. We enjoyed our stay. It is not your run of the mill Holiday Inn style accommodation but we were not looking for that. Highly recommended.

The breakfast menu was outstanding! Victoria, the proprietor, fixed fresh breads every morning, eggs, omelets, fresh juice and fruit, various toasts with local (OUTSTANDING) jams and jellies, hot coffee and tea with all the "fixins". We would eat first thing in the AM, walk all around Quebec City and not be hungry until dinner time! Anything you could want in a dressed up continental breakfast was available. The beds were SO comfortable, our room was HUGE, there were always fresh towels and amenities; and it was close to "old" Quebec City. This old beautifully renovated house was just perfect for walks into the old town, down to the boardwalk or excursions further away from the old City. Victoria also took time with each guest asking about things they would like to see for breakfast, did they need directions anywhere, could she call a cab for someone; she is just an extremely caring individual who has given her all to ensure her B&B (and family home) is warm, welcoming and inviting. I would VERY highly recommend this venue to anyone, and if I ever get back to Quebec City, I will stay there again!

Very welcoming host and the room was sizable.

The only issue (which was not really an issue) I had was I never received the email explaining how to enter etc., however, it could have been my fault because it might have gone into spam. But they have a phone at the entrance where the caretaker answered right away and gave me the code. It was the most charming place and so very well located. I did not know Quebec when I booked and just picked some place close to the port as I was going on a cruise. I am so glad we stayed there. I am planning to visit Quebec City again in the future and will definitely return. SUGGESTION: if you do not receive an email prior to traveling, call the abnb. other than that you will love it.

The location, cleanliness and service were exceptional! The staff we met (Elizabeth, I believe) were exceptional people, also. The ONLY items we would mention are if you're getting up in age and have mobility issues (we are ALMOST there). The upstairs rooms have a steep, narrow staircase that made moving our suitcase difficult. Also, there is not enough room in the room we had for two comfortable chairs, so went we got tired from our walking, one of use had to lay on the bed while the other one sat in our comfortable chair. If we came back again next week, I'm not sure if these issues would cause us to chose another location, but a year or two from now (we are in our 70s) might cause us to stay somewhere with more comfortable furniture and a less steep staircase. We were VERY glad we stayed here this time!

The hostess was responsive and pleasant. She provided varied breakfast options each day like made-to-order blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs and ham. Very cozy and spacious room with lots of thoughtful touches. Highly recommended!
