My experience with Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort and booking through Expedia was extremely disappointing. First, the hotel is not worth the money. The property is outdated and in serious need of upgrades. The photos online make it appear much nicer than it actually is. For the price I paid, I expected a much higher standard. To make matters worse, I cut my trip short because the stay did not meet expectations. Even though I checked out early, Expedia and the hotel refused to refund the unused night. That type of customer service is unacceptable, especially when guests are clearly dissatisfied with the quality of the stay. Booking through Expedia made the situation even more frustrating because you get stuck between the hotel and the booking company with no real resolution. I would not recommend booking this hotel or using Expedia for this type of reservation. If you value your money and your vacation experience, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I am currently filing a dispute for the unused portion of my stay.

This hotel is really nice and has so much to offer. We did not have kids but if you do, this place is amazing for young families. The front desk and cleaning staff were amazing.

Nice property but terrible service. Plan to allow 2-3 hours for every meal. No one interested in offering service. Orders constantly wrong and no one come to check, so you are stuck with incorrect food. Everyone acts like they are doing you a favor when taking orders or bringing food. You will are likely to have several different servers in a single meal or even drink order. They really need lessons in hospitality. The natives islanders are the most friendly, the Dutch all act like there are better than you.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. They had plenty of beach chairs available to guests and security made sure only guests were present. We did not have an ocean view but had a palm tree, lazy river view. The lights turned on in the lazy river at night and created a nice ambiance. Staff were professional.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is clean and well maintained, the front desk staff was always very friendly and knowledgeable (Stephen stood out!), and our room had a large balcony that overlooked the property and ocean. The room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette available. We liked the option of opening windows to get a breeze instead of using the AC. We enjoyed hanging out at the beach bar, had great food/drinks and liked the live music. It was very convenient to have a dive shop on-site and we rented snorkel gear several times. We reserved a pick-up truck before we arrived through the hotel for a reasonable rate. The location of the hotel is good - we walked into town several times via the boardwalk (right along the water) and a few restaurants are also very close in the other direction. Overall a great experience!

Very nice clean hotel. Drinks and food were not great and pricey, but our room had a mini kitchen which was very nice to have. The lazy river is fun!!

We stayed at the property for 10 days during our stay on Bonaire and unfortunately had a very mixed experience mainly due to food quality and service. One day we have a fantastic meal, 2 days later we order the exact same items and they were barely recognizable in taste, presentation or quality. This inconsistency happened more than once and made dining here feel more like a gamble rather than something to look forward to. What made the experience worse was how our feedback was handled. After scanning the QR code on our receipt and explaining what happened with our meal, we received an email from the property manager that felt dismissive and unprofessional.He stated that video footage( without audio) was reviewed and implied that our account was untrue. Beingade to feel as though we were lying, rather than have our concerns acknowledged. Disappointing and unnecessary. Bonaire is a great destination and this place could have potential, but consistency and customer service matter. Guests should feel heard when they raise concerns, not brushed off. Sadly this was not our experience here. So many wonderful restaurants on the island. Try Rumrunners, Eddy's, Sebastians and even the Donaire place at the round about! Absolutely delicious! We will be back to Bonaire, just not to Chogogo. So many other beautiful smaller hotels in the same area who treat their guests with respect and kindness.
