Stayed here before so we hopefully knew what to expect. Lovely room with a great comfy bed and facilities, shower and en-suite all working well and very clean. Short walk into town, bar and restaurant are excellent, will be back next year.

Cramped uncomfortable rooms opening onto a narrow dirty alley way. We would not stay here again.

Arrived to find hot water system throughout entire hotel was broken and could not be accommodated. Staff friendly and efficiently transferred the booking to a nearby hotel with a smooth transition.

The Mouse Trap Inn is very quaint and we had an enjoyable 1night stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are small but in keeping with the nature of the town and age of the building. We recommend this as a delightful place to stay.

Absolutely lovely place! The staff were so kind and the rooms were perfect for us. Limited parking on site but street parking nearby. The pub was fabulous. Best hotel in the Cotswolds! We would stay here again for sure.

Nice stay, staff extremely friendly, very convenient location- close to everything you’d want to visit in Bourton On The Water- Hawkstone a 25 minute walk. Only criticism is that breakfast let it down, slow service, dirty napkin and overdone toast & muffin. Limited car park spaces- top tip arrive early.

The Mousetrap Inn is located on the main road into Bourton - walking distance into the village which is positive. Checking in via the bar staff was perfect and the staff were very helpful. The car park however was very small so not ideal. Our room was small but clean and tidy but unfortunately looked out onto the very small car park which had a mobile refrigeratiion unit which was on 24/7. We thought the room was overpriced but due to it being summer and Bourton being a tourist attraction, the room rate was priced accordingly .... I guess. We had dinner in the evening, however due to the fact it was a Sunday we had to leave the restaurant/bar at 8.30 and go somewhere else to finish off our evening. The bar/restaurant staff were very helpful and sympathised with us. It seems strange that the rooms are dealt with separately from the Inn itself. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay but felt the room rate was expensive for what we actually received.

Picturesque, limited menu. Bar closes to early for residents and not consistently, as goes for the rest of the village plus staff can be quite rude and none attentive.

Never had hot food at breakfast. Most of the food was luke warm at best. Some item were stone cold. Only once were we given toast even after we asked for this included item. It really was poor stay.

If you want delicious food in the evening and a bed for the night in a pretty village, then you won’t be disappointed. Staff were friendly too. However the room was tiny and very dated and the en suite was not much more than a cupboard, soundproofing is very poor. Breakfast was a little bit Fawlty Towers, I was told a flat white wasn’t a problem but was given a cup of black coffee,Asking for hot milk seemed to be disconcerting. Toast was forgotten, there was no salt, pepper or jams and marmalades on the table and there were apologies for the lack of yoghurt for my muesli, which was very basic and dry. The general sense is that this pub is a good restaurant, very Farrow and Ball and stripped pine downstairs but no effort upstairs. Parking was limited to one tight space because there is building work and a temporary kitchen, which has used up the remainder. This is our second time here, the last time was before Covid. This time we were here to visit Sezincote (wow) Food in the evening has been consistently good but breakfast a definite deterioration.

The Mousetrap was a short walk from the Centre of Bourton-on-the-Water, so very conveniently situated. When I stayed it had no parking facilities, perhaps because work was being carried out on part of the building, I'm not sure. We parked in the Royal British Legion car park, which was a 5 minute walk away. The room and bathroom were, in my opinion, tired, and needed sprucing up. Paint was peeling off in the bathroom and the electric shower only worked if you kept your finger on the 'start' button. The basin didn't drain properly. On the plus side, the staff were very helpful and the room clean and comfortable.

The room we were allocated was in the annex and was nothing like the room advertised. Very tired, awful bathroom as in poor shower and very small. Decor was very tired and carpet old. The place looked a tip and for the money paid was definitely not worth it.
