Great property with excellent staff. Unfortunately when we visited it was during a heat wave and there’s no AC because it’s a historical building so the room was very warm.

Nice hotel right in town. Note, there is no air conditioning or elevator. Windows & doors have no screens, if you open them, many flys come in. Bathroom could use updating.

The absoluteworst night of our trip! The room was so terribly hot at 11 PM at night. It was about 85° in the room. It was 66° outside and gorgeous!! There are no windows in the room and it’s in the attic. There are two tiny skylight windows that do open but not enough to cool the room down. The portable AC unit that was provided was out of water. We did manage to refill the water which helped a bit and cool the room to about 82° but it was still sweltering. The AC unit has not been maintained, the filter is filled with black dirt. The water pan was moldy, which we washed out. It was a torture chamber and so hot. I think even if the cooler were working properly, it would not be enough for this room. There needs to be an exhaust fan or some other solution here. Also, if you know that guests are checking in why not turn on the unit ahead of time? The unit was off when we arrived and it’s just impossible to cool the room down. This is absolutely not acceptable and ruined our night in such a beautiful town. I sent numerous messages to the office and since there is no one on site, we never heard back . we were not able to find another room. We thought about going and sleeping in the car! The lower floors seem to be a lot cooler, but as you walked up to the higher floors, the building just got hotter and hotter. We spent so much money on this trip- gas, tolls, flights. This was an utter disappointment, and we could barely sleep.

Gruyeres Rooms was a wonderful hotel! The room was huge, and I woke up to a beautiful view in the morning. It’s in the center of the village but very quiet. Plus, I missed a couple of train connections and arrived at the station down below after 10:00. I called the hotel and the manager’s brother walked me through everything. Yay!

Lovely place in the medieval old city. Would recommend. Breakfast could be a bit better, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back.

Excellent location, spacious, clean room with a country feel. I loved the all-around heating stove and the beautiful heating stove from 1773 just took us back in time. If I stay in Gruyeres again I would choose this place again, for the above reasons.

Gruyere-Rooms is a comfortable, homey small hotel. Comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Hot water pot & coffee. Very nice man at the reception desk. Walkable to all sights in Gruyeres. No air conditioning, but it was not needed during my late August visit.

The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Gruyeres. The staff was super friendly. There's a lovely restaurant and bar attached to the hotel with a beautiful terrace overlooking the mountains. The food was fantastic with good gluten free choices which is sometimes hard to find, even the breakfast buffet had special bread on request. We were there in August and the room was hot but a fan was supplied. Lovely place to spend a few days!

I didn’t expect such a lovely room! It was quite large and had a big tub (which I love!). It overlooked the beautiful town square. Perfect location, and the staff was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff were helpful and friendly and I enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful little hotel garden. It is located right in the picturesque town square, just a short walk to the Giger Museum, Castle/Chateau, and all things chocolate.

Absolutely lovely but the pillows were horrible! It was like sleeping with your head on a piece of concrete and I couldn't get comfortable all night.
