Excellent location. Don’t need a car. Close to train station, super market and Main Street.

Located in a nice area and 5 min walk from the train station. Beautiful lobby and restaurant. Rooms are small but well decorated.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location close to shopping and dining. It is also conveniently located near public transportation, so getting to central London is quite easy. The hotel staff were also helpful and so kind. Finally, the beds were very comfortable as well. We would love to stay here again.

We have throughly enjoyed our stay at the Selwyn Hotel. From the first impression of seeing the hotel, we could see that the outside decoration had been done with thought & care. We entered the front door into a lovely lobby that was cool from the A/C and pleasing on the eye. Throughout the hotel the decoration had been lovingly carried out to a high spec, giving the hotel a unique feel. Our room had everything we required, was comfortable & was served daily. What really stands out though is Richard & his team as they were attentive, friendly & professional. We will be booking again!

Fortunate that this has been our second stay in the past 6 months. A beautiful hotel with lovely staff, the position is perfect for catching the train into central London or enjoying leafy Richmond and all it has to offer. Our room was immaculate with a good size bathroom and plenty of hot water! An amazing breakfast with plenty of options. We will back again soon!!

This is a lovely hotel, with an attentive staff and excellent amenities. We enjoyed the bar in the evening and the wonderful breakfast in the morning. The room was small but adequate. The staff does an excellent job of creating a welcoming but professional atmosphere.

Parking available at the hotel - for a fee - made hotel quite convenient. Late night access to lounge and bar a plus. Staff friendly and helpful.

Amazing staff, Richard was amazing and was able to assist me with all my needs. Tasty breakfast and super comfortable beds.

We stayed for 2 nights for Happy Place Festival (about 15 minute walk). It was very hot weather so it was hard for the hotel to stay cool. The reception area was cool but the rooms struggle to keep to a cool temperature. The guy on reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I think a biscuit with the tea and coffee in the rooms would of been a nice touch. It was a pleasant stay and we would stay again.

Had a lovely stay while visiting Richmond and Wimbledon, staff friendly and super helpful. Only minor thing were the rooms were small however that is probably because of the period property. We would definitely stay again.

Outstanding Boutique Hotel in Richmond. Facilities were excellent, just very very nice. This is truly a boutique hotel... very nice public areas, fine rooms. Classic rooms are slightly tight, though certain layouts are much more workable/ comfortable than others. Bathrooms good sized. All Staff just outstanding....similar to a Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Park Lane Hilton or JW Marriott ... professional, courteous, highly competent, and looking to measurably be helpful .... they take the extra effort to ensure the guest feels welcome at a 'home away from home.' Highly recommend to family and friends, will return when next in Richmond.

So glad I chose this hotel when attending the tennis at Wimbledon. The staff were so helpful, the young lady who checked us in could not have done more to make us comfortable and ensure we got to the tennis on time, The barman was charming along with the breakfast staff. Rooms while compact have everything you need. Thank you everyone for a perfect stay.

Room had everything it needed for a nights stay. Very clean room, comfy bed and coffee facilities.

The Selwyn was a wonderful hotel and our stay was very pleasant. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has a lift, so no stairs needed to carry your cases up. They had air conditioning which in the London heat was heaven. The hotel is immaculately clean inside and out. We drove to the hotel directly from the airport and after checking in, we enjoyed a nice Pimms from their bar outside on their patio. The hotel is 2 mins walking to the town with lots of shops, restaurants and the river. We drove to Kew Gardens which was 10 mins by car. Lovely hotel and we would definitely stay again! Breakfast was delicious!

Hotel was immaculate and staff were really helpful. I'd recommend getting one of the bigger rooms if there are 2 of you, as the cabin rooms are on the small side for 2 people, but everything else was great, bed and pillows were really comfortable so we had a good night's sleep, we would definitely return.

Good stop for Richmond - pretty well located and decent rooms.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Parking was not an issue for us, on the road was free from 6.30pm. Staff were very attentive but we were only staying for one night and didnt get a chance to it to try the hotel bar. Top tip, get a taxi and go for a meal at Petersham Nurseries!
