Good for what it is. Good location, good for someone just looking to have a place to rest their head.

Great place if you’re looking to come and go as you please. Close to train station, lots of things to explore nearby.

Staff and location were great! Unfortunately, there were bedbugs, so my daughter and I got bit pretty bad. Staff was nice and they did a deep cleaning of the room, but I’m not sure if that got rid of the bedbugs.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Hotel was in very convenient location and the room was clean and comfortable.

I booked two nights in your property and there are bugs in the room, and I was bitten by them. The sanitary condition is terrible. Also the guy at the front desk is rude. No apology after I complained to him. Told me either I can leave or they just do some cleaning in the room. The worst experience of a hotel for me!

Can’t beat the location from the train station and walking distance to entertainment. Room is a bit tight and there is a steep walk up.

Both at Check and on check out the reception staff could not have been warmer and more helpful. Definitely staying here again.

Well kept hotel, super convenient location, very “cozy” The staff was always quite friendly and helpful. While my partner and I had no issues navigating the stairs, it is very snug and steep so take that for what it’s worth. We booked a small double bed room and it is small. No knocking the size of the room, though there could be more clearance between the toilet and the wall. The bed was not particularly comfortable. Windows are huge, open wide and are super well insulated against sound. Mini-split in the room worked well, but was a touch loud. I’d likely stay here again, but may bring a camping pad to use on top of the bed.

Great location and a very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are small but the location is very good.

We had a wonderful stay with great service and hospitality from start to finish. As two people traveling with a checked bag and a carry-on each, we really appreciated the staff helping us carry everything up to our room. Although we booked a double room, they kindly upgraded us to a triple room at no extra cost. Huge shoutout to Tesfaye for the amazing recommendations around Amsterdam, he was incredibly helpful! Overall, 10/10 would highly recommend this hotel. Just a heads-up: try to avoid bringing a checked bag lol lesson learned the hard way!

While. It a typical hotel for those used to 4-star doorman service, the Ciao Papa is an ideal choice for small groups or couples that want a clean (spotless!) and convenient hotel in the heart of Amsterdam Centrum. We bookended a trip here and feel we made a great decision.

Clean and updated room - but just too small*. Limited space to store luggage in room and no space to move about. Very small (yet very clean) bathroom. No hairdryer and safe in room did not work. Steep stairs and no lift - as reported in earlier reviews. Staff, particularly Tes Fi, was friendly and very helpful. Convenient location - near Central Station. We enjoyed our three nights in Amsterdam with Caio Papa as our base. (*Room 203 is a 7.5 ft/ 2.3m square space with a queen size bed built in against two walls)

The Staff at Ciao Papa was very helpful and friendly, but the one thing I wish I knew before traveling with family in their late 60s is that there is no elevator in this hotel, and the stairs are very steep. I'm sure the stairs incline is common in Amsterdam, I just wish I had know that before booking. As a single traveler, I would not have an issue, but just be aware of the limitation.

This place is amazing! The building itself is dated back to 16th century! Inside, it’s bully renovated with modern amenities! The room is small, but has everything you need! Even a window! Amazing water pressure, and hot water! Comfortable beds! And LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! In the heat of everything!!! Also, reasonable in price for all you get and the location.

It was very clean, comfortable bed, international channels on the TV - perfectly functional for what I needed - a room for one night close to the train station because I had a super early flight. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and kind - overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend.
