Loved staying here. Fernando made us feel very welcome and we spent our first evening and second morning on the Camino in joy.

The host at the property was exceptional! She went above and beyond to make our stay. She greeted us with a smile, showed us around the property and to our room. Everything we needed was there from a welcome beverage, snacks, to pool towels, etc. Breakfast was tailored to our liking. Would stay here again!

From greeting us at the front door by name, to her kind and friendly hospitality, to her excellent breakfast, she made this day a wonderful experience on our Camino. Smiling Places was a great location to stay at on the second night of our Camino. Wonderful service, fantastic breakfast and accommodation was very clean. I would love to come back sometime!

I stayed here after walking through a coastal storm from Porto on my 60th birthday! The owner greeted me with a tiny little cake and a candle, sang happy birthday and introduced me to Ginja. It doesn’t get any better than that! She has a washer and dryer and a nice breakfast. She’s awesome!

Beautiful guest

Smiling Places is the most incredible guest house; Elizabeth and Fernando the most wonderful and kind hosts. We were walking the Camino with our children - weary from a long walk - and this was a perfect stop. Washing machine is excellent. Breakfast was plentiful. Beds very comfortable.

Amazing stay owner is the best

Amazing stay. We felt like family. Best breakfast on our trips and we got bags for lunch. Elisabete did everything to make our night and next part of our Camino safe, happy, and healthy.

A quiet, relaxing place to stay with the most warm and welcoming hostess! She offered a beautiful breakfast spread, and great advice for our Camino de Santiago journey! This was our favorite place along the way.

Wonderful

Of 15 nights on the Camino, this was absolutely the BEST stay my 14-year-old daughter and I had! Elisabete is phenomenal! Our room was beautifully decorated along with the attached bath. Everything spotless. Elisabete was so welcoming and caring! Amazing breakfast and genuine Portugal hospitality! Don't look elsewhere! Book this incredible stay!
