The place was clean and smaller than expected. The window was broken and staff was notified. It was a little noisy than expected later in the evening. The elevator was challenging with a lot of character. The staff were great (including the valet parking) and the rooftop view is amazing.

The Bed was very comfortable. Everything was tight thou lots of small surfaces (chairs, bathroom vanity and sir tables) my stuff seemed to always fall off. There was just No good place to put my suitcase (carry on size). Plus were not very accessible for charging things, the plugs were behind the bed or open wall with nothing around to set phone or laptop on. Front desk was very very nice. Elevators are slow, but they are historical so I didn’t really mind it was cool to be in history. Also fresh candy bowl made waiting for the elevator nice! Really overall well run hotel and nice things I’d just say it very French with things be on the tight and small side. But great accessible location. Not a hotel u want a car at thou. Expensive parking area!

The staff here are excellent. I received a text before I arrived asking if I had any needs upon arrival. While staying there the staff took care of any requests we had promptly. Rooms are small and the whole place is very retro. The rooftop bar is nice with great views

We stayed on 8th floor and elevator worked once out of the entire trip. Having to climb 8 flights of stairs anytime you want to leave is no joke.

Air conditioning unit was encased in a decorative box with a screen that was filthy. Towels had holes. Hair from previous occupants was stuck to the walls and bathroom doors. Bathroom had no ventilation system except a window, but the window must have been near a kitchen because when we opened it the whole room smelled like a grease trap.

It was a nice vintage hotel, the elevators are very small and old school, which was nice to experience. However, if you have lots of luggage it’ll be a problem. The rooms are VERY small and the AC is not strong, I would not recommend to stay here during the summer or if you want strong AC

This hotel was such a treat. Was a last minute find on Expedia. The room was perfect for a one night stay cozy but plentiful. I’m sure they have bigger rooms to suit your needs. Had an amazing view of downtown San Diego. Fully stocked mini bar, snacks, and luxury soaps. Room had complementary nespresso as well. The rooftop bar is a must for an amazing vibe and the French Diner also had a great vibe. On top off everything the staff was so friendly and helpful.

The Palihotel is located in the heart of the Gaslamp District, making it close to food, bars, and attractions.

Old classic style. Elevators built 1913. Super cool vibe. Great bar attached. Parking hard to find but valet parking available for $65 (UGG). But enjoyed our stay.

Palihotel was very disappointing! Hotel has the original elevator system which is very difficult to manage. Rooms were dirty, stained carpet and bathroom tub. Towels were not fresh. AC did not work, instead of having guest service address it, I was told by the front desk to unplug the AC unit and replug it. I strongly recommend going somewhere else unless you like stepping back in time with no amenities.

I was charged an extra fee that I don’t have any clue what it is on top of the hotel stay and paid parking for 3 nights. I have no idea what this charges are for and i have paid every time i dine in at the hotel, i never touched water or snacks in room. When i called to ask, the customer rep did not explain to me and i asked to speak with the manager and i was still asking question and they hanged up on me. I did not like the customer service and were not polite enough to answer questions. The above charges were not disclosed and when i read on the Expedia, it stated its all included.

Superb decor. Small room but the whole experience of the hotel’s interior design is like stepping in a time capsule. Lots of food options in the hotel and around the area. Staff was helpful. Would stay here again!
