Extra touches like fresh fruit, water, and biscuits in the room were great. Complimentary glass of port upon arrival. Lovely decor. Only complaint is my tv didn't work, but I had no time for it anyway. Close to metro station. Extremely helpful staff.

The hotel did not have charging plug-ins for phones, and they did not have adapters or extra chargers at the front desk. The staff was really helpful when I lost my wallet and the subway is very close.

Great service, welcome drink, shuttle, help to room, hot water in room

The staff was friendly. I did not like the blanket sewn between the sheets. If you get too warm and just want sheet that was impossible. Other than that it was very nice and like everything in life I've experienced, there is usually a standout that made things even nicer. For Hotel Jaguar, that standout is Marta, the concierge. Such a lovely young lady with so much knowledge, advice and you feel her need to want to help others. She truly is a plus for this hotel. Thank you Marta and thank you Hotel Jaguar for having such a wonderful employee.

Small boutique hotel, excellent service, excellent decor, good breakfast. Location 3 -5 stations from the center depends on where you want to visit. The excellent service and convenient parking is compensating for the location. The room is on a smaller side. Would stay again. Thank you for the hospitality.

Perfect hotel.

Booked my first trip to Portugal 3 weeks before heading to Porto and didnt do research on where to stay. But I am very pleased i selected to stay at Hotel Jaguar! I really enjoyed staying in a local area that is conveniently located to the center of Porto. The metro was an easy walk, easy and quick travel to the Sao Bento stop and to Gaia. The staff is wonderful and as a solo traveler this was very warning to me! The drivers to/from the airport were very kind and tmely. Carolina took her time checking me in and escorted me to my room; she even sent sraff to make sure my room was clean and ready since I was an early morning arrival. The evening staff warmly greeted me when I returned back to the hotel and Andre was always so accommodating. The fruit, water and chocolate wafers were so thoughtful and welcoming when i entered my room. I also enjoyed my complimentary welcome drink on my last evening. I asked the evening frint desk for a spa to ger a massage and they promptly found a great local spa within walking distance on th e same road as the hotel which was so lovely and I highly recommend (deBest Massage.) I would definitely stay at Hotel Jaguar again. Porto city center is lovely but very bustling with tourists, traffic and workers that it was such a nice respite to feel like a local, take an inexpensive metro ride a few stops and be in a quiet lical neighborhood with shops, restaurants and a beautiful church which I attended for Palm Sunday Mass. Hotel Jaguar is awesome, location is walkable( we needed to keep up with our hiking skills anyway) about 2 km from Porto Cathedral, Luis I bridge. Sao Bento etc. I love the staff and facilities were all good. Breakfast buffet was delicious and plenty. They have restaurant opened for dinner and they have good choices of meal. Hotel has a free airport pickup service and the car was an awesome electric car (that was a real treat.)

"The Jag" as we called it was our favorite of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our travels around Portugal. The staff was very friendly: they provided a free ride down into Porto on our first night, as well as a "welcome glass" of local Port wine. In addition, there were complimentary items in our room. The bathroom and decor were very nice, with fluffy robes and other amenities we didn't find anywhere else during our stay. They have a parking lot directly across the street from the hotel where we kept our rental car. Many restaurants were within walking distance and the location was convenient, although not "downtown" Porto. The price made it worth the stay even though we were not centrally located. Would stay at The Jag again if I return to Porto. One note: apparently the hotel has a problem with guests stealing items and they list the charges you will incur if you steal anything from the room, so don't do that!

This hotel is simply perfect! Looks very new, well maintained and clean. All of the staff members are extremely nice and helpful. Upon arrival you get a glass of Port as a welcome drink, and fruits, chocolates & water waits for you in your room. It is also great with regards to transportation - it has free parking, free shuttles to the airport/bus terminal and it is close to a metro station so you can easily get to the old town. Bottom line - look no further!

The staff go above and beyond to make you feel extremely welcome. From the pickup at the airport (in a Jaguar) to checking in and helping you to your room was flawless.
