The hotel is modern, very clean, and spacious. It has great air conditioning and a huge patio with a table and lounge chairs. I find the modern hotels a bit too minimalistic, with limited towel hangers, no drawers, etc. It is a small hotel, with 38 rooms or so; it was a bit crowded on the weekend, but really quiet during the week. I think the hotel lacked a "Polynesian" feel; it would benefit from adding some cultural touches instead of trying to be standardized. However, the staff was really helpful and offered assistance with everything. The kitchenette was very useful. It had a table top stove, an electric kettle, plates, utensils, one skillet, and one pot. Good to use for breakfast, as breakfast was not included in our price. The hotel has its own beach where you can dip in the water and snorkel among the corals. Even if you do not snorkel, you can see fish and other sea life from the bridge to the restaurant (we saw coral fish, octopuses, and sea urchins). The restaurant was on the expensive side, but it was not surprising; everywhere on Moorea, food is expensive, it is an island. We had some issues with hot water after a rainy day, as the hotel has a solar heating system. Just be aware of this. I really appreciated that the hotel participates in the coral restoration program. There were two people working to collect small coral pieces from the sea floor and "replanting" them. I find it very cool! We had a very nice stay.

Me and my husband came for our honeymoon! We highly recommend the resort! It was in the perfect spot for restaurants and to do near-by activities.

Overall, this is a great place to stay in Moorea. Location is central to restaurants, markets and beaches. Resort is very well maintained and clean, restaurant has a great vibe and atmosphere. Food is prepared well and service was excellent. Our 2 bedroom was situated perfectly with multiple views of the bay and ocean views providing endless photo opportunities. The only shortfall is the fitness center which is basically a closet with 2 pieces of equipment. Just keep that in mind if that is something essential to you. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this beautiful resort and would return again.

Lovely setting, very relaxing. Snorkeling and kayaking were available free of charge. The food was delicious! French Polynesian and very fresh. Great location for seeing the island with our rental car. Would definitely go back !

The property is extremely misleading! We were looking for a hotel space that could accommodate six adults… and we paid over $900 a night (which didn’t include breakfast) to this hotel as one of the few that said it could accommodate us, however they crammed us into a room like sardines. And then there was no living space, just beds. The photos posted online made it look like we were renting an apartment, but after 15 mins in the room we were trying to find another room. There was also only one TV in one room, limited garage cans and the gym was a disaster with two run down machines and one broken treadmill. The staff was friendly but I feel mislead and was very disappointed.

Seriously a hidden gem on Moorea. The renovations are modern and lovely. The rooms are very sizable with a convenient and useful kitchenette. The beach/swimming/snorkeling area is a standout! You have your personal coral reef with all kinds of beautiful sea friends. Finally, the restaurant and bar are 5 STAR. Fantastic choices on the menu. We ate some of our best meals here! The happy hour sunset is a must. Some live music really added to the ambiance.

Really nice small hotel with an excellent restaurant. Nice pool right on a small sandy beach with some pretty good coral beds right there. Beautiful setting near top of cooks bay. Room had a funny smell but staff was great in trying to address it.

Beautiful property. Newly remodeled. Rooms are great. Great views. Great AC, beds, pillows. Great snorkeling right in their very own beach. Octopus’, turtles, beautiful fish. And free snorkeling equipment and kayak. Not a lot of food options to walk to. But a few local restaurants will pick you up for free. Maybe free bike rentals would be nice. Enjoyed our stay very much!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cook’s Bay. The resort is very small, but very beautiful and clean. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Our a/c was broken the first night and they went above and beyond to help and had it fixed first thing the next morning. The hot water was really hot enough for us, but considering how hot the outside temps are in Moorea, we really didn’t mind the cool showers. The bed was firm, but comfortable and we LOVED the mountain and lagoon view from our room. We enjoyed our dinner at the resort restaurant and lounging by the pool. We would definitely recommend Cook’s Bay and we can’t wait to return to the beautiful island of Moorea!

This little resort is very nice. Rooms are super clean and very modern and chic. A/C worked excellently and kept the room cool. Beautiful views from our corner suite. Staff are super friendly and helpful. They will arrange reservations and shuttles for you. Pool is a perfect temperature. The pool beds and beach beds are lovely! Lots of species of fish and creatures to see if you like snorkelling. We even saw octopus! Very cool! Spa across the street is excellent. Shopping centre and grocery stores a short drive away. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay at Cooks Bay Hotel & Suites again.
