Really lovely hotel set above Kandy with gorgeous views. We stayed for 2 nights and it was a perfectly relaxing stay. The food is great at the restaurant on the top floor. The rooms are large and clean. Really friendly staff. 100% recommend

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the King Suite, and it was the highlight of our trip. It is definitely worth the slight upcharge! The infinity pool with views was the perfect way to wind down after a day of sightseeing. The staff was beyond friendly and so courteous. We don't typically choose half board, but our trip to Kandy was quick, so it just made sense to stay on site for meals, and I am so glad we did, because the dinner set menu had plenty of options and the portions were large. Plus, the setting is nicer than any restaurant we would have gone to anyway. And we were able to enjoy an after-dinner cocktail and live entertainment for at their rooftop bar.

Room and staff excellent except noise of water pipes surging in Room 202. Could not sleep until it stopped at 11 p.m. but then it started again - a loud surging noise every minute - at 6 a.m. so woke us up. Would not go back again. Manager said it affected 'all rooms' and it required a long-term fix. Said he 'was working on it' (a small compensation gesture?) but nothing happened. Lovely pool but only get 8 people around it.

Lovely clean room with views over Kandy. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The roof top bar is an added bonus. The hotels location in the Kandy hills is perfect. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but close enough to walk down to the lake.

Large, modern and well equipped room with beautiful views over the city and a small balcony. The restaurant and bar area is very pleasant, on the rooftop with great views. Food is a little hit and miss. Just worth noting that prices on the menu don’t include taxes. When these are included, this, together with service, adds a third to the bill. This is really misleading and could be easily fixed. Excellent value overall though.

Booked a Double deluxe room. Very good hotel with clean room, linen and bathroom with comfortable bed. Very good view from the balcony. Excellent continental buffet breakfast with live omelette station and Sri Lankan style food variety. Everything from check in to check out was seamless. Not a great fan of the roof top bar. Not a good value for money considering the portion size. Highly recommend this place. from check in to checkout was very smooth

Our room was spotless! Bed is firm, food was appealing however the hamburger caused gastro problems, majorly. Talked to 2other people with similar issues. We ate there the whole time and the last night was beautiful. The staff is above and beyond. The location is away from the street noise and everything else. Gorgeous views, monkeys and fruit bats too

A fantastic location

I had a wonderful 4 nights at the Serindip. The staff were amazing abd special thanks to chef Ranga for his help and knowledge while I was in Kandy. Will definitely return for another stay.

The hotel is quite nice, some of the staff were nice and friendly. But today I had a strange thing happened; ny check-out was midday, I decided to go for a final sightseeing tour. I had my luggage partly packed and I left my items in a certain way and left a do not disturb sign on the door. When I came back i found evidence that someone had been in the room and opened my bags,. I called the reception and they said noone had been in my room. I do not believe this as my things were disturbed. I checked out and left, but will never return to this place. I have traveled to 40 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels...something was off here. Am not sure whether my race had anything to do with it.

A nice hotel, but we were allocated a room on the lowest level with a view of a construction site. The rooftop bar and restaurant are nicely positioned and good music at night. Food was t that great and the cocktails had minimal alcohol. A good hotel for one night in Kandy

Built like so much of Kandy on the side of a mountain, Grand Serendib Hotel offers a standard room with a great view. The room works well in terms of comfort with a pretty little balcony. We had an excellent buffet breakfast included. The staff were very friendly and polite.
