Karimunjawa!! Very few have heard of these small islands off the North coast of Java, an archipelago of 27 islands, most of them in a marine reserve. The main island is reached in 2 hours by a speed boat, from the quaint port of Jepara. Stunning is not describing the islands, jaw droppingly perfect scenery, white beaches, emerald turquoise waters, picture perfect handcrafted wooden jetties, snorkel waters so clear to see the stunning corals, multicoloured fish, a truly magical experience. The Mangrove Park, a 2km trekking is in a remarkable setting, stop for grilled fish, under the call of prayer, and run for cover from the thunderstorms. A scooter gives you the opportunity to visit this verdant island of lush vistas and mountains, small business like cashew roasters, or side road café, perfect examples of why you should sometimes leave the crowds behind, and go off on an adventure beyond the bounds of crowded beaches. It should not be a surprise that Indonesia holds some secrets in its islands, after all there are over 17,000 of them! The island of Karimunjawa is, for now, a proper hidden gem, crystal clear waters, vivid rainbow coloured coral reefs, and the picture perfect postcard Eco Casa Resort, a small island life feel, the secret is out!

Although the location is relatively remote, the overall accommodation experience is really great! Clean and beautiful private beach, you can go boating, swimming, and just lie on the beach and relax. I really recommend it!

Located right on the beach, enjoy your drink while watching sunrise, beautiful beach and great location for snorkeling. Hospitality from the host/owner also excellent, just asked them & they'll give information/service that you need. Resort yang sangat indah, bersih dan well managed. Bungalownya persis di depan pantai cantik dan juga berseberangan dengan Pulau Cilik yang sangat bagus untuk snorkeling. Dikelola oleh keluarga Italian dengan baik, ramah, mereka juga peduli dengan lingkungan. Pastanya enak, salah satu ownernya dulu italian chef! Saya pasti kembali ke Eco Casa kalau kembali ke Karimun Jawa.

A very pleasant, quiet and beautiful place. Clean and the owner really cares about the environment. And what makes you feel at home is the friendliness and kindness of the owner, Mrs. Estee and her husband, also their kids are adorable. The owners are very helpful, they help coordinate our needs on this island. Just say what you want and they make it happen. Here it's not like a hotel, but like we are being hosted at the owner's house, and interactions with guests are very relaxed and friendly. Absolutely a nice place. Very close to Pulau Cilik, our favorite island. Thank you Eco Casa
