Rent och snyggt hotell. Frukosten var i enklaste laget!

My daughter really enjoyed her stay with you. She told me everything was wonderful and she's glad she chose to stay at Hotel 1861. The unique character and history of the hotel was a big plus but, also, the hotel was very clean, the twin single room was comfy, breakfast was fresh and typically Swedish, the staff was wonderful, and the location was extremely convenient to get around the city and to the airport. She loved everything about her stay and looks forward to staying again. I must say that the hotel (and Umea) both seem so nice, I also want to visit the next time I'm in Sweden.

It was really good, I arrived a bit late but it was still a amazing trip, cook building and rooms, everything was really clean and i really enjoyed it! Floor was a bit squecky in my room at least so i was worried about waking others, but also i get its an old building so maybe cant so to much abt that, But overall 10/10 would love to go here again

Great property. Around isn’t particularly pretty, but that’s fine. Not ugly either

This is a unique property which made for a fun stay. (My gosh though, those "prison" doors are heavy.) Everything was very clean. It made the shared bathroom factor a total non-issue. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here five years ago, eccentric place, old county jail, as a retired nurse who had worked at a county jail and a state prison, I was delighted by the place. Tack så mycket

We had a fantastic stay in the hotel's annex apartment. The apartment was so spacious, clean and comfortable. We were able to get a great night's sleep, my partner away from my snoring! Check in was quick and friendly. Breakfast was a good continental selection.
