Get the room with river view!!! It’s pricey but worth it! This hotel is walkable to the train station and located off the main street, very nice. Also walkable, albeit far about 2 km to cable car but it’s mostly a nice walk along the river. Facilities are basic, room is decent, but the balcony with river view is outstanding! I thought I would just use this stay as transit for early morning start in Hallstatt - didn't know I would enjoy Bad Ischl so much too 😊
