A very pleasant stay, central location so very handed, staff great, had a superior room, we there for a week so bigger room was ideal, kitted out well everything you need, room had character . comfortable bed , nice and clean, Only slight grumble. Price of breakfast was steep. But as your in the town, plenty of options minutes walk away Highly recommend will definitely return

Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Stratford upon Avon. Our room, number 10 was on the second floor overlooking the Main Street. It was very spacious with a large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a small fridge which came in handy for cool drinks. The staff were friendly and happy to help. We had a great stay.

We had the most wonderful stay, everyone was kind and welcoming, the room was a delight, the service was excellent. My only small sadness was that they have removed their vegetarian breakfast from the menu, which meant we sadly were not able to enjoy breakfast there during our stay, but it wouldn’t stop me going back as there were plenty of other options around. Also there is no parking and the long stay places closest are very expensive. We simply parked further away and walked as we didn’t plan to use the car during our stay, but for some this could be an issue.

Room itself was nice but there were a few stains on the carpet and the shower must have had some blocked bits on the nozzle because it would spit out everywhere.

Very tired and shabby room. Public areas include frayed and stained carpets which are a trip hazard.really disappointing as the pictures look nice - very deceptive

This hotel used to be shabby chic and now it is just shabby. The carpet on the stairs is threadbare and everywhere feels very tired and really does need refreshing.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Townhouse, room was spacious and comfortable, had a great nights sleep. Its location is central so easy to get around and everything in walking distance. Staff very friendly and attentive and great atmosphere in the bar and lounge area. There was a good choice of substantial breakfasts using quality local produce and although this isn’t included in the price it was competitive within the local area. We had a great few days here and would definitely return and recommend.

Nice heritage property and spacious room, however it was not cleaned properly upon our arrival. The pub's function room shared the wall behind our bed and they played music until 1am and started setting up breakfast tables at 7 so we weren't able to sleep much. Location was great- very central. Perhaps a week day stay would have been more appropriate.

We came to see Shakespeares 12 Night. We had stayed at The Townhouse before it is an excellent hotel and well positioned for the RSC.

Stayed here a few times now, and honestly the hotel needs an overhaul now. Roomsxare tired, carpets worn and our ceiling over the shower was stained from a I presume a leak from above.

Hotel was ok, some misleading info on the advert like states parking available yet only limited 2hr parking and then you have to park across town. It also states cooked breakfast available for 8.95, yet to get cooked breakfast you also have to pay a further fee of £4 for a barista style coffee or coffee from a flask with the continental breakfast. Otherwise room was ok but a bit small and overlooked the road making it noisy.

I loved that the hotel had history and still retained so many characteristics from the past. I did not mind the uneven foots but some of the carpets were worn through and a stain on main stair not pleasant. We had dinner it was lovely and a breakfast also very good I think the cooked should include the coffee and only if wanting cereal extra the extra 4 charge to be included. Staff are very friendly and helpful really enjoyed our stay would recommend

Rather disappointing. The room was up 4 flights of stairs, not an easy ask with a suitcase! We go away a lot and this was the smallest room we've slept in all year. That said, it was very clean and the bathroom looked newly decorated. We found the electrics slightly worrying as the bedside lights flickered constantly, so we turned them off to be on the safe side. Also there's no parking so its a 10 minute walk to the multi storey car park, which cost £13.95 for 24 hours. Breakfast is only included if you book direct with the hotel! Which is bizarre as we wouldn't have booked it at all if it hadn't been on Hotels.com. (Wetherspoons is round the corner and a full English is less than £7) In summary, disappointing, because its not a straightforward experience, which is what you want when you go away.

Room could have done with a lick of paint and the bathroom had black mould on the tiles that could have done with clean. Other than that friendly staff good bar and good location.
