Great stay at the Crinan Hotel. Bay window room was lovely however, being older, would like a shower only instead of a bath to negotiate to get tonthe shower. Food was excellent.

The Crinan Hotel is one of Scotland’s classic bijou hotels which has retained its touch of class and high standards of service, perhaps because it is still privately owned and free of corporate ‘sameness’. It is also surrounded by the most breathtaking sea-and-landscapes with all bedrooms having views to dream of. It is not the place for families with kids or guests who prefer beach shorts and flip-flops. Small staff but service excellent. Good menu, food excellent and not over-priced. Will be back.

We had a fantastic minimoon at Crinan!! Food is 11/10. Staff 11/10! Location is absolutely stunning. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We had a room with a balcony and the views are out of this world. The boat trip on Ross Ryan’s boat The Sgarbh was incredible. We saw seals and Sea Eagles and sailed around the islands. This hotel is a true Scottish gem!

We had an amazing stay at the Crinan hotel. The views are spectacular and the food is delicious. I would say that the hotel is a little old but that is part of its charm.

mould around the bathroom tiles, bathroom window and curtain, rust on the shower head, dust on tbe bathroom mirror and an e.pyy toilet roll cardboatd core. In the main bedroom room, we found a ceiling repair painted white, a totally different colour from the rest of the room, cobwebs on the room sprinkler head, poor condition of the bed blanket throw and an extremely small television. We did not stay and returned home after the offer of an alternative room which was no different to our first reserved room.

Property is very tired and in desperate need of TLC upgrades. Having said that it’s homely and the Staff are welcoming, friendly and very professional and helpful. Pets are welcome and all rooms have sea views. The food is plentiful and very good. Will certainly return again.

Rooms are spotless and location is spectacular. The food is superb, the scallops couldn't be better cooked and the freshness unmatched, due to them being landed 50 yards away. Throughout our stay, despite it seeming to be off-season in the area, we were expertly hosted by Mrs. Ryan's friendly and attentive staff at all times, whilst Chris the manager was always available with his extensive knowledge and experience to assure us we were looked after very well. There's a feeling of genuine hospitality in the Crinan Hotel and we left feeling refreshed and happy knowing these types of places exist, should we need to recharge again.

This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem.

Room was lovely with a sea view good big bed and comfortable. The gentleman who checked us in wasn’t very cheery and seemed very severe otherwise we always enjoy coming here as the food is always great.
