Historic Property Ample Parking Room was very spacious About a 10 min walk from train station, dining, theater, and shops

The property is in a gorgeous area. The inside is lovely from a historic point of view. It is not ADA compliant with the exception of a ramp in the back. The upper floors were not accessible due to a functional and charming elevator. It stopped at working during our staff and fortunately the staff did their best to get it operational again. The bathroom in our room was not ADA compliant although we had requested one during our reservation. Also the reservation for a king sized bed was not fulfilled. We ended up with a double or queen sized bed. There was also very limited seating in our room when our other family members came up to see us. On the other hand the staff was very friendly, very accomodating, and did everything they could to make us comfortable.

It is a beautiful, historic building, although still a work in progress. The room was very clean and the staff available, friendly and helpful. The room only had a desk chair, but that was all I needed. The in-room air conditioner was loud, although it made for good ambient noise. The bed was firm. It was a great experience to be in such a special building and I would stay there again.

The 2 owners were extremely helpful. My wife and I were picked up from the airport with a luxury, new SUV and the driver was most informative and courteous. A+++.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Stockade Inn and was completely enchanted by its charm and character. Nestled in the heart of Schenectady’s historic Stockade District, this inn offers the perfect blend of old-world elegance and modern comfort. The architecture and interior details beautifully reflect the rich history of the area, and every corner of the hotel feels thoughtfully preserved and warmly inviting.

I liked how quaint and quiet the area is. The hotel room we were in was fairly newly-renovated. Very spacious. The hotel itself has a lovely character and is homey. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Zakhar was very courteous, helpful, and informative.

Everything was great!

I don’t know who decides how many stars a hotel property gets but the amenities were below 3 star hotels. The curtains let in light, the street noises were pretty loud, the shower head let water flow poorly, the heater was loud during operation, and there was random knocking sounds all night coming from the hall. It was an experience different from your typical brand name hotel but I’ll be keeping it a one-time experience.

This is our second stay at The Stockade Inn, a boutique hotel in a historic property located in a historic district. The rooms are still lovely with a fresh coat of paint. We were surprised at the new ownership, but John and Z are terrific. They were great hosts who were interested in our opinions about their renovations. We think they are on the right path keeping as much historic fabric and details as possible, but we really appreciated the handicap ramp! The cute cafe on the ground floor was very convenient for late sleepers like us, and yoga was free for guests. The best of both worlds! We highly recommend The Stockade Inn. Janice and Neil

Easy check-in and owners were kind. Property undergoing renovation so surroundings are a bit spare but clean and no noise.

Loved the quaintness of the room. Room was clean and spacious. Cafe was great. I will be staying at SI when I come back to visit.
