My first time in Samarinda, and my stay at Five Hotel was very satisfying. The hotel was clean, tidy, and the staff were all friendly.

The room is spacious, with a bathtub in the bathroom. It's cool. The AC is cold.

The hotel's location is very strategic. It's close to everything and quite easy to find food or other necessities. The hotel staff are also friendly and provide good service. Unfortunately, we encountered a few issues with the elevator. The elevator system seemed to be malfunctioning. Several times when we chose to go down, the elevator actually took us up first. This happened twice. There were even guests waiting outside the elevator, annoyed, thinking we didn't understand how to use the elevator, even though we had already chosen to go down. Hopefully, the elevator system can be fixed soon to make it more comfortable to use. Otherwise, our stay was quite pleasant, especially due to the strategic location and friendly hotel staff.

Recommendation for a hotel in the city center, only the parking is a bit confusing at first.

The hotel is nice in the city center. The service is okay, but you have to wait for check-in. There is only one receptionist. On weekends, there should be at least two receptionists. So guests don't have to wait long. Check-out is nice, easy, and fast. The rooms are clean, only the toilet needs to be maintained. The food is delicious and perfect. Parking is free. There is a mosque, so it's convenient to pray 5 times a day. The AC is cold. And the only thing that made our vacation less memorable was the swimming pool. Smoking should be prohibited because there are lots of children. But smoke billowed from men smoking. It was annoying, but what can you do, because there is no smoking ban in the swimming pool. There are lots of small children, especially on weekends. Just a suggestion, the hotel should prohibit smoking in the swimming pool because there are more small children in the swimming pool. That's all. Everything else is fine.

Everything was great. Great, friendly service. Spacious, clean rooms, and delicious food. The only problem was the towels smelled of cigarettes, even though I chose a non-smoking room and my husband doesn't smoke either. That's about it; otherwise, everything was fine and satisfactory.

The upstairs is nice, the atmosphere is cool.

This was my first stay here out of curiosity. The staff and CI process were quick (provided the room was ready) and very helpful when there were things we didn't understand. The only downside here was that the sound from next door penetrated our room, so we could hear the baby crying really loudly and screaming too, huhu. Luckily, my little one was already playing quietly on his phone, so hopefully there wasn't any noise pollution. My husband only had breakfast because he was having a really bad headache and couldn't sleep, but he said it was fine. So, will he be back? Definitely! XOXO

I booked two rooms for one night. We arrived at the hotel around 10 PM. When I was about to check in, something struck me as odd. The receptionist told me that someone had already checked in my room and asked me if my family had checked in. I replied that no, and that we had just arrived in Samarinda that night. I was tired after the long trip, so I didn't want to argue. I simply explained that we had just arrived and were only now checking in. Then the two receptionists on duty came in and as they left, they announced that our room had suddenly become available. It was a bit odd, but never mind, we just wanted to rest. When we arrived, we found the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned, it was a bit dusty, and when we opened the bathroom door, there was a baby cockroach. It caused quite a commotion that night because we were frantic to catch it. The toilet was a bit dirty, as if it had been used but not flushed, and the bathroom was full of limescale. The hot water for the shower also didn't work. I waited a long time after turning on the faucet, but the water still wouldn't come hot. The other room was in pretty good condition, except the kettle wasn't working. The food was delicious, and the breakfast was also excellent.

The hotel was nice, but the blanket had some dirt on it, and it wasn't clean. The towels were also dirty.

I stayed for one night due to a padel event in Samarinda, yet I still managed to use the swimming pool in the morning. I stayed in a non-smoking room with a view of the pool and the city. The staff provided friendly and prompt service—they even brought a pool towel right to me—and the experience was very comfortable at an affordable price. I’ll likely be back.
