very clean

Our overall stay was great, however , we had issues with several things in the room, the shower door did not close, the lighting was extremely poor, the dispensers in the bathroom didn’t work and our kettle was filthy. The room was clean and newly refurbished and the tea and bottled water was plentiful. The breakfast was delicious.

Trefor the manager was great. Very helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was bright and clean. The facilities were great. The bed was comfortable. The bar and restaurant were nice and I enjoyed the live music and quiz night.

Lovely welcome, good clean room with all toiletries, water, coffee etc. couldn’t fault it and would thoroughly recommend.

Perfect for my 2 night business trip. Lovely food, great room, friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back

The Lion Hotel was a pleasure to stay in. Clearly recently decorated to a high standard the quality of materials used were also reflected in the way the bedrooms were furnished and clean crisp linen on comfortable beds

Gorgeous hotel, lovely large room. Great facilities and lovely staff. Early awakening from washing machine and deliveries - understandable. Will be returning again.

Sorry to say this but we had a great room, suite I think, but the let down was the bed. The mattress was completely collapsed and we had a very uncomfortable night.

This hotel is one of the most charming English places I have stayed. We only stayed here because we wanted to go to renoufs but we will definitely be back !

Lovely rooms, good bar, fantastic food.

Location poor due to traffic noise at night No Parking . The room was over looked by general public so had to keep curtains closed. Breakfast took a long time to come but was nice

All good staff were great, was on the top l floor so only for the fit

First appearance was off putting, the building is old and in need of some 'curb appeal' and repainting. The room was very clean but very dark decor. The breakfast was excellent and staff friendly

We had a really pleasant stay, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Parking is limited but found a spot near by.
