Friendly check in - had already been sent online registration form so very smooth. Room clean and nicely furnished and bathroom obviously recently fitted. Hadn't intended to eat in the restaurant but having ventured into Workington and been unable to find anything inviting, we were squeezed in even though it was a busy Friday evening. Glad we did as the food was very good. Only negative of the stay was the road noise but that was the compromise for getting a lovely mountain view.

Fantastic staff, excellent breakfast, super parking, very clean modern room, free WiFi, Netflix and prime TV, good bed, in room tea & coffee with biscuits, to take good to great would be the addition of a blackout blind to the room window & a shelf / surface in the ensuite to put toiletries on.

Booked this hotel as a last minute replacemen. It was a good decision. Great hotel very accommodating staff.

A short trip to the Lake District, always a nice way to relax, Staff, service and food all top quality, would thoroughly recommend for those seeking a quiet retreat.

Lovely hotel, bar and restaurant with excellent food. Fantastic breakfast and wonderful welcoming staff who go out of their way to help in any way they can.

Spent 2 peaceful nights at the Melbreak Hotel. It was really handy for exploring the Lake District which we were happy about, the only downside was the 4.30pm check in time which we thought was quite late but we still had a lovely time. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and chatty.

Lovely welcome at Reception and staff very helpful during stay. Bar and restaurant atmosphere warm, nicely decorated, and food and drinks service very good. Recommend as a place to stay or just to dine. Menu good with gluten free options. Surpassed expectations and would visit again. Hidden gem of a hotel. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Great place that you could tell had been recently refurbished. Staff werre helpful and friendly, food at The Conservatory was lovely and well priced. Room was clean with a decent size TV, all for a great price. Would definitely stay again and recommend

Absolutely fabulous. Everything excellent - staff, quiet good sized room, a most comfortable bed, amazing evening meal, marvellous maitre d and lovely breakfast. All great. Definitely recommend and hope to get to stay here again sometime, all being well.

This hotel is a gem of a find with the most amazing staff, restaurant and beautifully decorated rooms. It should be a least 4 star and I cannot rave enough about it , thank u to all the amazing staff at MELBREAK
