Very near to restaurants bars and waterfront good parking area an pub garden

Room was excellent. Ceiling fan was a huge bonus as it was very hot. Breakfast good very close to town centre harbour and ferry port.

Very good . Older building but in good condition. Room was clean and fresh . Breakfast was to die for . Going back for sure . Also great location for trains and ferries and market on a saturday .

Well placed for the town/sea front, the beautiful New Forest & the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Clean, tidy room and very friendly & helpful staff. Property has been modernised in certain areas especially the bedrooms. Good car parking. Simple but satisfactory breakfast and adequate evening meal. Happy to recommend this for all the above & would certainly be happy to stay there again. Very good value for the money.

I don’t normally like to stay in pubs (noise, revelry, smells etc) but previous reviews suggested The Bosun’s Chair and they were right. Most reviews highlight ‘friendly staff’ but here they really went out of their way to be accommodating. The young lady who checked me in, the barman who politely offered me a drink and the owner who looked after me at breakfast. The property was old but I was very pleasantly surprised to find my (single) bedroom was well decorated and in great condition. Bed linen was cotton, the pillows were a perfect size and filled with down and the bed was comfortable. As the weather was warm so was the room, but the window opened and after the kitchen extraction unit had been turned off it was comparatively quiet with just the gentle hum of the electric fan. Some guests had to leave very early and could have been quieter but that’s hotels for you. Breakfast was a revelation and definitely upmarket with Greek yoghurt, granola and fruit and a variety of hot, healthy, dishes including the traditional full English. Service was attentive and even the toast was high quality bread. I had been slightly surprised by the price, having recently experienced larger hotels charging less but I don’t begrudge the owners a penny. The reality was way above expectation and everything had clearly been well thought through. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Overpriced for what it offers! Worth around half of what I paid!

Everything in the room was spotless as in the bathroom. However the bathroom would be even better with some hooks on the wall as there was nowhere to hang one’s toilet bag or dressing gown.

It was a clean room The staff was awesome I really enjoyed the breakfast choices in the morning and it was a comfy cozy area for breakfast and the evening if you wanted to go downstairs to the pub and have dinner you could because it was good I'd recommend staying there and I would stay again

Lovely room. A huge effort has been made with the decor. Everything you could want. Free parking and right in the centre of Lymington. We’d definitely come back.

Lovely large room at the front of the pub overlooking the road. Stayed on a Friday night and was slightly worried it would be noisy but it wasn't at all. Very peaceful. Didn't eat in the restaurant but the drinks were good value and the breakfast was first rate. Would say far much better than many farmshops we've visisted. Lovely young lady hosting breakfast.

£84.00 for a single room with a single bed and NO breakfast is possibly the most expensive pub I’ve ever stayed in!
