Fantastic food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast

A really lovely place to stay. A touch of luxury but very down to earth. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. The restaurant was amazing.

Our three night stay at The Maltings was completely excellent - the location is superb, the hotel is spacious and very well appointed with a well stocked traditional bar and numerous seating areas. The Grainstore is the hotels restaurant and it is delightful - all staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, we ate there on two of our evenings, the food was of very high quality and delicious. The Maltings is definitely a hotel we'll make return visits to!

The hotel is in a small pretty village, in walking distance of the beach , a pub a local shop and coffee shop and a beautiful church that was once an abbey. The staff were amazing and we had every thing we needed for a comfortable stay. We had lovely food at the Grain store and as the weather was good there was plenty of outdoor seating . Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend! We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade on our room and it was beautifully decorated. They were friendly at check in and took us to our room, leaving us some shortbread biscuits. Breakfast in the Grain store was amazing, we also had dinner there.

This is one of the nicest and most beautiful Hotels in the UK -- Everything about it is perfect.

Lots of young kids in the restaurant when we were there. Half term I know, but maybe an area for those looking for a more peaceful environment would be worth considering.

Fantastic break away and would recommend to friends and family. One barman was rude but the rest of the staff were excellent and very friendly. Couldn’t fault breakfast for choice quality or service. Look forward to staying here again soon

Comfortable clean room. A bed and treats for our little dog. Excellent breakfast ( including a sausage for our little boy 🐶!) and good dinner. Friendly and attentive staff

We had a wonderful stay at The Maltings and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff – from reception through to the bar and restaurant teams – was exceptionally friendly, warm and welcoming. The level of service really stood out and nothing was ever too much trouble, which made the whole stay feel relaxed and genuinely special. The rooms themselves are lovely – warm, inviting and spotlessly clean. The thoughtful touches made a real difference too, with great quality tea and coffee provided, along with some delicious homemade cookies waiting for us on arrival. The restaurant was equally impressive. The food was exceptional throughout our stay, with an excellent and varied menu that perfectly balanced much-loved favourites such as steak alongside more adventurous and inventive options. Everything we ate was incredible, and the breakfast choices were just as delicious. A huge bonus for us was how dog-friendly the whole place is. It’s clear that four-legged guests are very welcome, but this is done in such a considered way that it never impacts on the experience of other visitors. We will definitely be making a repeat visit!

We have a lovely room which was outside the hotel which was great as we had our dog with us. Our meal restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast , can’t fault a thing! Very friendly staff & will definitely be back.
