We had hoped to Eat here but had been delayed several hours at the Channel Tunnel and as a result we ate earlier as we knew the restaurant would be closed when we arrived. The breakfast was very good and having read the menu we hope to visit again on another trip. The view of the Etang from our room was nice. The room we had was comfortable and spacious.

We arrived at 3pm which was check in time and there was no one there we waited for an hour the hotel was completely closed up looking through windows tables had chairs put up on them like it had been closed for a while we looked completely around the premises there was no one on site and everything was locked up. we then had to drive and find another hotel for ourselves which was very upsetting I tried to contact Hotels.com but was not able to.

We first discovered this hotel through the now defunct French travel specialist VFB as this was included in their La Carte Hotels brochure. Beautiful setting by a lake and close to the A28/A88 autoroutes for access to the Channel Ports. Delicious French menu in the restaurant.

The grounds, the adjacent pond and the dining area look great, and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the room itself was not up to much - detached bed head, discoloured bathroom walls, discoloured grouting in shower , wardrobe that wobbled when opened - it all suggests a property that needs some love to return it to its former glory. To be fair it was competitively priced and in a convenient location.

Our first time at this hotel and overall we were pleased. A lovely location, a characterful room and a good meal in the evening. we were welcomed on arrival and shown to our room. However, in our opinion the hotel let itself down a bit with the room as there was no plug in the basis, a half roll of toilet paper with no obvious spare, and no water glasses. We were slightly concerned at the prices of the various set menus (unfortunately no a-la-carte) but in the event they had a small menu that suited us just fine - it was also delicious. Would we go back? Yes, we would.

The woman who owns the property was lovely. She spoke both French and English. The restaurant was fantastic! Good choices and good price. The room was great and had a tub, which is unusual in France! Comfortable, good price and good people!

A wonderful find 6 years ago. Tranquil and peaceful with great gastronomique food served in a super dining room. Waiters are attentive and restaurant romantic but can cater easily for large family gatherings. Between Le mans and Paris this is a great place to transit or jyst relax by the lake. Request bedrooms 5 or 6 as they have great views of the lake. Bedrooms are well equipped.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the exterior of the hotel is picturesque. Our room however was very disappointing; the decor is tired and the room was dark and a little gloomy. It was clean and completely functional- the tea and coffee facilities in the room were very welcome (and not common in France). The restaurant was serving lovely food but was expensive compared to other restaurants we have dined in with equal quality. We weren’t made to feel welcome- that is perhaps the most important factor in our feeling dissatisfied and the hotel lacked warmth.

Comfortable, clean bedroom, nice touch of a local drink left in your room to try. Excellent food in the in house restaurant. Pretty surroundings. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely looking hotel and room very nice. On arrival we were told 'your room is on the first floor' no offer of assistance etc. The general attitude was very offhand and unfriendly. The restaurant food was good, however, the restaurant lacked any atmosphere again due to the attitude of the proprietor who was the only person serving nine tables. The menu choice was large, but over 50 per cent was unavailable as it was a Tuesday!

Excellent food well presented and served. Accommodation was atmospheric and the whole venue had an overall atmosphere of time standing still. A little off the beaten track but well worth finding. The owner was very helpful and made us feel at home.

It was a very comfortable and spacious hotel in a great and quiet location with an extremely good restaurant.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The service was excellent , the room was clean and large ( it was a disabled room)with a fantastic shower. The food was excellent.
