Lovely hotel in a beautiful village, perfectly located for walks around Bakewell. Staff were very friendly and food was excellent.

Lovely overnight stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was excellent!! Only downfall was we were above the kitchen so when they slammed the door it was extremely loud in our room - especially at 6:45am but other than that we can’t fault it and will definitely be back!!

This was our first visit to the hotel since it was refurbished. I’d saved up to take my husband there for his birthday treat. When we got there, we were so impressed and our room was lovely, apart from it feeling very warm. We realised that we were directly above the kitchen. It was really noisy, as the extractor fan was so noisy to the point that it felt like we were about to take off on an aeroplane ( and that is no exaggeration ) We were kept awake by the staff laughing outside and throwing bottles into the bin till around 11pm. Then at 7am on bank holiday Monday, we were woken at 7am by staff talking loud outside and the extractor fan went on again. We couldn’t get back to sleep after this. The staff were really lovely at breakfast and we would come back again, but definitely not back to the room above the kitchen. It wasn’t the birthday night I had planned.

Lovely stay at the Arms. Staff were amazing and happy to help. The room was spacious and a great shower and comfy bed. Nice area to sit and relax after a day out. We would stay here again

Lovely food. Room reasonable space and decor lovely. But unfortunately loud noise from a large fan and in the kitchen below us.

Lovely location and very well appointed, clearly very popular as you had to reserve at dinner and it was full. The breakfast was delicious as well

A very enjoyable stay

What a great find. Think it may be new as decoration and quality of amenities were great. Really was a lovely place, time and money must would have been invested. Perfect location for the walks we wanted to do. Walked into Bakewell, did the Monsal Trail and hiked up to the old Magpie Mines. Would definitely recommend a stay @ the Ashford Arms food was top quality and to have breakfast included was a bonus. Great pub/choice of beverages too. We had the magpie room comfy double out of the way. No trouble parking but to be honest we didn't use the car from arrival Wednesday afternoon to leaving Friday morning. Can imagine that may change during peak season but a perfect time to visit. Experienced all weathers in those 2 full days but managed to stay warm & dry.

Fantastic hotel! We would definitely stay here again. The staff were lovely, and the food was excellent. Our room was warm and comfortable with everything we needed - a few cobwebs and a dusty vase lost them a star on cleanliness. Overall though, we loved it and would highly recommend!

The Ashford Arms is a lovely friendly cosy Hotel. Our room the Aisseford suite was ver spacious and comfortable. The staff were very attentive and there was always someone around to help us.

Gorgeous hotel! We stayed for one night, friendly staff and lovely room which was clean. Hotel bar and restaurant lovely and breakfast very good. Not too far from Bakewell, we had a walk in and called at Thornbridge brewery on the way. We would definitely stay again.

Great location, lovely character to the building and very friendly & helpful staff. Restaurant is very good value. The only thing that would have improved the stay would be to offer a continental buffet for the Breakfast as well as a hot option.

Staff charming helpful and polite, food amazing, showers piping hot, plenty of parking, bed comfortable, nespresso machine in my room with choice of coffee pods. Would have liked a box of tissues but that’s being ultra picky!

A thoroughly enjoyable overnight stay at this boutique hotel.We stayed in a junior suite which was very comfortable and spacious. Slight niggle that the loo flush requires attention and there was an absence of facial tissue which we would expect to find in a hotel of this standard but it did not detract too much from our stay. Our evening Meal of home made chicken and mushroom pie followed by chefs own Bakewell tart with raspberry ice cream was delicious.

Beautiful bespoke hotel in a stunning location. Both the accommodation and the food were excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.

we stayed in a Junior Suite and were very happy with the space and decor. a small table near the bath would have been amazing to hold my book.
